As part of the apprenticeship you will be responsible for general cleanliness of the salon, customer service and assisting the stylists where necessary. This will help you to gather more experience and skills and improve your knowledge of hairdressing. As a busy salon we pride ourselves on all staff working together to cover the customer’s expectations.Training:Learners will complete either a level 1 Functional Skills qualification if they have low or no previous GCSEs, or a level 2 Functional skill if they have a grade 2 or 3. All apprentices, regardless of grade, will complete embedded maths and English set by their Individual Learning Plan which is accessed online.
Learners achieving the Level 2 Diploma for Hair Professionals in Hairdressing can gain employment in a salon as a Hairdresser, carrying out day to day tasks such as: customer service, shampooing hair, cutting, styling and finishing and colouring and perming.

Apprentices without level 1 English and maths will need to achieve this level and apprentices without level 2 English and maths will need to take the tests for this level prior to taking the End-Point- Assessment
Training will be provided on an ongoing daily basis and when required
You will be required to attend Dudley College premises one day per week to work towards your Apprenticeship Standard Qualification
An assessor will be allocated to you to progress/help you through you course. Continual assessments, coupled with assignments/or exams depending on course of study. Time spent training will be part of the agreed contracted hours of the working week
At the end of your training, you will sit an exam and submit course work as part of your assessment, and you will receive a Level 2 qualification
