Assisting stylists and colourists in providing salon services to clients and smooth running of the day.
Push yourself to watch and learn new techniques/stylists by shadowing.
Gown and seat clients, build a rapport and offer refreshments.
Shampoo clients, wash off colour and help with treatments.
Attend weekly training with a senior member of team.
Ensure all areas of the salon are tidied and presented to a high level.
Ensure presentation of stylists' stations are immaculate.
Promote and sell services and products, including recommending and selling additional retail products.
Making sure laundry is being done frequently, to ensure never being short of gowns or towels.
Be the best salon ambassador possible, representing the wider company.
Training Outcome:Once you have completed your Larry King apprenticeship, you will have the chance to graduate and, if successful, you will become a salon assistant, continuing your training following one desired pathway - either colour or styling.
When you reach certain levels of training, you can begin day's training on the salon floor to prepare you for life as a qualified Larry King Hairdresser. You do not need any formal qualifications to start the apprenticeship however you will need to have passed English and maths to complete it. Kleek Apprenticeships will help you gain these functional skills alongside the apprenticeship with our bespoke learning modules

As an Apprentice Hairdresser you will be required to:
Meet and greet customers.
Shampoo and conditioner customers’ hair.
Maintain a clean salon.
Provide refreshments to the customers.
Reception duties.
Prepare customers for the stylists to cut, tint hair etc.
As you develop skills you may be given the opportunity to style hair, apply tint and colour.
Your training will require you to demonstrate a competence in shampooing and conditioning, cutting hair, tinting hair, styling hair, setting and dressing hair plus reception duties.
