Undertaking day to day jobs for maintaining a salon
Gaining valuable on the job learning from colleagues and peers
Greeting clients, taking bookings and managing appointments
Training:
You will undertake training at least one day a week in your salon with a qualified hairdressing tutor and assessor
You will be working towards completing a Level 2 Diploma for Hair Professionals - Hairdressing qualification
Functional Skills in maths and English, if required
Training Outcome:
There are many employment opportunities and career progression routes for a qualified hairdresser
You may wish to continue working in your chosen salon, widening your experience
You could use your qualification to open your own salon. You could even take this qualification abroad with you, working in a salon abroad or on cruise ships
There are many options and career progression will be widely discussed with you during your apprenticeship

Training will take place at your place of work
After your induction, you will be working 30 hours per week with protected time to complete apprenticeship work
Support from your team, line manager and the Apprentice Lead and apprenticeship provider
Support to complete the Care Certificate
Training Outcome:
While not guaranteed, the apprenticeship may lead to a permanent position with St Monica Trust after completion of your apprenticeship
A qualification that you can use to support other work opportunities or progression within the health & social care sector
