Hairdressing Apprentice

As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.

What you’ll do at work:
Undertaking day to day jobs for maintaining a salon
Gaining valuable on the job learning from colleagues and peers
Greeting clients, taking bookings and managing appointments
30 paid hours a week employment

Training:

An apprenticeship includes regular training with a college or other training organisation. At least 20% of your working hours will be spent training or studying.

Training Outcome:

There are many employment opportunities and career progression routes for a qualified hairdresser. You may wish to continue working in your chosen salon, widening your experience. You could use your qualification to open your own salon. You could even take this qualification abroad with you, working in a salon abroad or on cruise ships. There are many options and career progression will be widely discussed with you during your apprenticeship. 

Employer Description:
We are an established hairdressing salon on the busy high street in Huddersfield.

Working Hours :
16 hours per minimum. 8 hours training. 8 hours salon apprentice. Shifts TBC.
