We are looking for Retail Stock Counters to add to our already successful team.
This a casual role which means you can control the days you work
Employment will be carried out on different retail customer sites and stores and travel will vary on a shift-by-shift basis. Certain locations will have minibus transport provided free of charge.
You will be responsible for ensuring stock is counted quickly and accurately using a handheld scanner.
Being able to stand for prolonged periods of time is needed for the role and access equipment such as ladders or steps may have to be used on occasion to reach high stock.
Key Skills/ Experience Required
Due to the nature of our work, you must be able to work unsociable hours including early mornings and throughout the night when required. As a result, we can only accept applicants 18 years and over.
You must have a 'can do' attitude and be able to work long shifts when required on large counts.
With our innovative business, the technology changes and progresses and therefore being a quick learner is a key skill required.
Any experience of handling stock is an advantage but not a necessity.
A good understanding of the English language is essential

This exciting position is a permanent full time role working 37.5 hours a week from 8am-4pm Mon-Fri. This is a term-time only position; with an additional 2 weeks to be worked during the school holiday periods. You will be responsible for ensuring stock is counted quickly and accurately using a handheld scanner.
Being able to stand for prolonged periods of time is needed for the role and access equipment such as ladders or steps may have to be used on occasion to reach high stock.
Key Skills/ Experience Required
Due to the nature of our work, you must be able to work unsociable hours including early mornings and throughout the night when required. As a result, we can only accept applicants 18 years and over.
You must have a 'can do' attitude and be able to work long shifts when required on large counts.
With our innovative business, the technology changes and progresses and therefore being a quick learner is a key skill required.

This isn't a standard picking and packing role. You'll be responsible for physically checking stock, identifying discrepancies and making sure inbound and outbound loads are accurate.
If you've worked in warehousing, stock control, goods-in, dispatch or auditing and you're someone who naturally spots when something isn't right, this could be a great fit.

What We're Looking For
You don't need management experience.
You do need to be accurate, dependable and comfortable working in a busy warehouse environment.
Ideally, you'll have experience in:
Warehousing or distribution
Stock control or stock checking
Goods-in or dispatch
Picking or inventory
Stock auditing
You'll also need good attention to detail, confidence with basic calculations, clear communication skills and basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
You must be aged 18 or over and have your own transport.

37.5 hours per week5 days out of 78-hour shifts between 12:00 and 22:00Plus a daily 30-minute unpaid break

Your day-to-day will include:
Attend Stoke-on-Trent College and all other required apprenticeship training sessions in accordance with the agreed apprenticeship programme and maintain satisfactory attendance throughout the apprenticeship
Complete all required coursework, assignments, practical assessments, examinations and portfolio / evidence requirements within the timescales set by the College and apprenticeship provider
Participate fully in apprenticeship progress reviews involving HMT, the College / training provider and the apprentice
Work towards achieving competence across the relevant trade areas, including carpentry, plumbing, electrical maintenance, plastering, bricklaying, painting and decorating and tiling, in accordance with the apprenticeship programme
Undertake additional training required by HMT for working within a healthcare / care-home environment, including health and safety, fire safety, infection prevention and control, safeguarding, manual handling and other relevant mandatory training
Report defects to buildings, equipment and facilities and assist with appropriate repairs within their level of competence and under supervision
Assist with the maintenance of external areas, including grounds, outbuildings, waste areas, gritting, grass cutting, flowerbeds and external signage
