Job Summary:We are seeking a skilled Test Engineer to join our client's team, who is responsible for developing test requirements, creating test instructions, and testing PCBs, assemblies, and systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electronics and measurement technology, with practical experience in handling measuring equipment and a good understanding of radio frequency and power engineering.
Main Responsabilities:
Development of test requirements and new test methods in collaboration with the development department
Creation of test instructions and test reports
Testing, repairing (requires e.g. soldering skills) and commissioning of PCB’s, assemblies and systems as well as participation in tests in the test field
Checking production orders and goods receipt material according to quality characteristics
Perform factory inspections with customers
Management of measuring equipment storage
Construction of test facilities for the rationalization of test procedures
Required Competencies:
Completed technical training in the direction of electronics/measurement technology, technician school, an advantage
Practical experience in handling measuring equipment
Knowledge of radio frequency and power engineering is an advantage
Excellent knowledge of German and English
Positive attitude to work

What You’ll Do:
To assist in the daily commercial and contractual aspects of the contracts managed by the operational team (The varied workload includes Highway Maintenance covering drainage, Soft Estate, VRS Barriers and Sweeping and Cleaning in both planned and reactive programmes)

What You’ll Do:
To assist in the daily commercial and contractual aspects of the contracts managed by the operational team (The varied workload includes Highway Maintenance covering drainage, Soft Estate, VRS Barriers and Sweeping and Cleaning in both planned and reactive programmes)
Financial monitoring and reporting of projects assigned and preparation of associated financial statements
Assist the Commercial Manager to ensure proper administration of the Contract requirements
Gather and collate records of all work done
Check all contract documents before work commences and advise the Commercial Manager of abnormalities or peculiarities
Assist with payment authorisation of subcontractors
Ensure prompt submission of invoices and applications for payment
Training:As part of your apprenticeship, you will be enrolled onto a nationally recognised Level-4 Construction Quantity Surveying Technician Apprenticeship Standard via our training partner, Learning Skills Partnership. Your apprenticeship typically takes 21 months to complete. One day each week will be dedicated entirely to lectures and studying for your apprenticeship qualification. Throughout the apprenticeship, you’ll work within our network of service centres and on our customer sites, where you will learn to:
· Service and repair a diverse fleet of Plant and Tools equipment, as well as a wide range of specialist Powered Access machinery to meet company and manufacturer standards.
· Inspect and function test a wide range of Plant, Tools and Powered Access machines to ensure they meet the correct operational and safety guidelines in-line with manufacturer specifications.
· Diagnose and rectify complex electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic faults, using the most up to date diagnostic workshop equipment.
· Order replacement parts and learn to fit them correctly, with on-the-job mentoring, in-line with manufacturer specifications.
· Maintain accurate and comprehensive electronic service and maintenance records, with involvement in daily capacity planning to maintain fleet availability.
· Develop in-depth product knowledge across a vast range of machinery.
· Build excellent working relationships with service centre colleagues, and with customers, to understand their business needs and requirements.
· Be involved in service centre daily team-talks (Huddles).
· Be involved in all workshop processes, procedures and safe systems of work (SSOW), risk assessments, method statements (RAMS).
· Have interface with a wide range of support functions including SHEQ Managers & Auditors, to better understand requirements for continual improvement within the service centre.
· Become an ambassador for our “Customer First” culture, resolving any issues quickly and keeping your colleagues and customers informed, so they feel truly valued.

Assist in the control of sites to ensure work is conducted safely, effectively and to the correct quality and standards.
Understand and integrate design information to ensure it is fit for purpose – challenging the designer when there are challenges and instructing others to carry out the works.
Assist and contribute to planning and setting up of work sites via different formats of communication.
Assist in the monitoring and control of contract works and understand how to implement corrective action when required.

The apprentice will be joining a team delivering a huge variety of planned projects on the contract, ranging from carriageway and footway resurfacing schemes to major structure and highway improvement schemes.
