Are you an experienced Revit Technician looking to join a dynamic and growing structural engineering consultancy?

The Role
As a Revit Technician, you will work closely with Structural Engineers and fellow Technicians to produce high-quality structural drawings and BIM models from concept through to construction. This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative environment where your technical expertise will play a vital role in project delivery.
Responsibilities
- Produce accurate structural drawings and models using Revit.
- Develop and coordinate BIM models across multiple project disciplines.
- Prepare detailed construction drawings and technical documentation.
- Liaise with Engineers, Architects, and external consultants.
- Ensure drawings comply with project specifications and industry standards.
Requirements
- Proven experience working as a Revit Technician within a structural engineering environment.
- Strong proficiency in Revit Structure.
- Experience producing structural drawings for a variety of building projects.
- Good understanding of UK construction methods and engineering practices.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD would be advantageous.

Support civil engineering projects by creating and modifying engineering drawings, documents and specifications
Assist with engineering calculations, technical sketches, plans and reports
Collect, analyse and interpret engineering data to support design development
Support the use of digital engineering software and tools including CAD, BIM and Revit

Training:The apprentice will be enrolled on the Level 4 Civil Engineering Technician Apprenticeship delivered by London South Bank University (LSBU).
Training location: London South Bank University, 103 Borough Road, London, SE1 0AA, alongside workplace learning at Robert Bird Group's London office.
Training schedule: Training will typically be delivered on a day-release basis, with the apprentice attending university during term time and working within the business for the remainder of the week.
Duration: The programme is delivered over 36 months (3 years) and combines academic study with practical workplace experience on live engineering projects.
Off-the-job training: The apprentice will receive protected study time in line with apprenticeship requirements, including lectures, coursework, project work, mentoring and professional development activities.Training Outcome:On successful completion of the Level 4 Civil Engineering Technician Apprenticeship, apprentices are expected to progress into a permanent role as a Civil Engineering Technician within Robert Bird Group, supporting the design and delivery of infrastructure and development projects.
Further development opportunities may include:
Progression to Senior Civil Engineering Technician roles with increased technical and project responsibilities
Professional development towards Engineering Technician (EngTech) status through the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE)
Progression onto a Level 6 Civil Engineering Degree Apprenticeship (BEng), leading towards Incorporated Engineer (IEng) level professional development

The Level 4 Civil Engineering Senior Technician is designed for an organised and proactive individual ready to support the full lifecycle of construction projects.
Working closely with supervisory and technical teams across both office and site environments, you will play a key role in project coordination by liaising with internal and external stakeholders, keeping accurate communication records, and assisting in the development of project tenders within tight deadlines. Design, Estimating and project management of fire/life safety detection and alarm systems
Take instruction/training from other design team members
Daily use of software including AutoCAD, Bluebeam Revu PDF and other design resources

Training:3 year apprenticeship scheme 40 hours per week, 830am-530pm based in our head office Coulsdon Surrey. Formal training Construction design and build technician (level 4) weekly day release to East Surrey College, Redhill.
Additional product training shall be provided by the manufacturer's of the specialist product we use.
