7.5 Tonne Delivery Driver Two-Person Home Delivery
We are recruiting 7.5 Tonne Drivers to join a busy home delivery team. Working alongside a drivers mate, you will deliver furniture, appliances and other household goods to customers, providing a friendly and professional service.
Main duties:
- Safely drive a 7.5 tonne vehicle on planned delivery routes.
- Complete deliveries to customers homes, including carrying goods into the required room.
- Work with your drivers mate to load, unload and handle goods safely.
- Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any defects.
- Complete delivery paperwork and electronic proof of delivery.
- Keep customers informed and report any delivery issues to the transport team.
- Follow road safety, manual handling and company procedures.
Requirements:
- A valid UK driving licence with Category C1 entitlement.
- Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
- Previous commercial driving experience.
- Good customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to carry out a physically demanding role involving heavy lifting, using appropriate equipment and safe handling methods.

The core purpose of the FLT Driver is to support the despatch department by preparing customer orders for shipment, ensuring products are packed, checked and ready for despatch. Key Accountabilities of the FLT Driver
Wrap and pack individual products and prepare boxes to the quantities specified on sales orders.
Weigh boxes and record the relevant details for shipping.
Operate Counterbalance and Reach FLTs to assist with moving and handling goods.
Support the despatch team with preparing customer orders for shipment.
Complete paperwork accurately and follow all work procedures and quality standards.
Maintain high standards of health and safety and housekeeping.
Work flexibly, assisting with other warehouse and production duties when required.
Key experience required for the FLT Driver
Previous experience in a warehouse or similar role would be advantageous.
FLT experience is required, including Counterbalance and Reach. Bendi experience would also be beneficial.
Must be literate and numerate, with the ability to read sales orders and calculate measurements and weights.
Good communication skills and the ability to work efficiently while maintaining quality standards.
Must be comfortable with lifting and carrying goods safely and able to adapt to different tasks.
Working Hours for the FLT Driver
Monday to Thursday: 7.30am to 4.00pm
Friday: 7.30am to 3.00pm
30-minute unpaid lunch break.
