Mini Bus Driver

Are you a reliable and compassionate driver who enjoys helping others? We have an excellent opportunity for a Driver to join a well-established organisation, providing safe and comfortable transport for adults accessing day care services.

In the Mini Bus Driver role, you will be:

Safely transporting service users to and from their homes and day care settingsCollecting and returning service users in a safe, comfortable and respectful mannerAssisting with the loading and unloading of wheelchairs and other specialist equipmentProviding a friendly and professional point of contact for service users, parents and carersCommunicating relevant information regarding service users’ needs and wellbeing to appropriate colleaguesCarrying out routine vehicle checks and reporting any issues or defectsKeeping departmental vehicles clean and well maintained

To be considered for the Mini Bus Driver role, you will need:

A full UK driving licence with D1 minibus entitlementMidas certificate and Driver CPC Previous experience driving minibusesA caring, patient and understanding approach when working with vulnerable adultsGood communication skills and the ability to liaise sensitively with service users, parents, carers and colleaguesAn understanding of the needs of vulnerable people

 

This is a temporary position ongoing for the period of 8 weeks, working 30 hours per week. The role offers an hourly rate of £12.71 per hour + accrued holiday pay whilst on assignment.
