The flats are in a fantastic location - flat for wheelchair usersnear the beach, shops and cafés and access to bus routes.Well-equipped and appointed with key-considerations for Service Users with profound leaning and physical disabilities; safely enclosed garden, ceiling track hoists and sensory-sensitive colour schemes.Reporting to the Band 6 Deputy Manager, you will provide and oversee care and support for your Service Users, leading and motivating the Band 3 and Band 4 Support Workers in your team. The Service Users have varying degrees of learning disabilities, including autism, sensory and physical disabilities, including those who require 24 hour care and assistance with daily living tasks, and to access the wider community. · Dealing with all appointments and patient requests, ensuring that surgery time is effectively utilised, allocating pre-bookable and urgent appointments appropriately and monitoring the flow of patients during surgeries.
· Carrying out all clerical tasks to prepare for surgery sessions, ensuring that clinical staff have the patient documentation necessary to undertake consultations and procedures efficiently.
· Providing a comprehensive reception service, responding to a range of enquiries in a polite and efficient manner, adhering to practice protocols and dealing with difficult situations in a calm and controlled manner.
· Dealing with all telephone requests and enquiries in a courteous and efficient manner, referring callers to appropriate personnel and ensuring messages are relayed and in a timely manner, particularly those requesting urgent advice.
· Taking comprehensive details for patients requesting home visits and ensuring that these are recorded in accordance with the protocol to allow steps to be taken for triage.

· Participating in the extended hours rota providing clerical support to the appointment surgery and working with the doctor on call

Requirements
Possession of the Registered Care Manager Award or equivalent is essential.
A recognised social services qualification (e.g., City and Guilds 325/3 Diploma, or a Certificate in Management Studies or a relevant Social Work qualification, and/or Assessor Award/ Level 2/3/4 in Care.
A commitment to and responsibility for personal and professional development and actively to take advantage of upskilling through relevant apprenticeship standards and training opportunities.
A minimum of two years supervisory or management experience in care or support work, including staff supervision and appraisal and either experience of full responsibility for managing a budget, or experience of budget management with supervision.
Good working knowledge and understanding of the Health and Social Care agenda/Inspection and CQC Regulation processes in relation to monitoring residential / nursing Homes.
Knowledge of applying care governance and care management to operational policy.
Negotiation skills and an understanding of and commitment to quality assurance, including customer feedback.
Ability to manage change within a social care setting.
Evidence of mentoring/management and leadership skills within the performance and care governance framework. Ability in using audit to improve quality of care.
The ability and flexibility to work across and support a wide range of services.
Experience of undertaking data analysis with accuracy and attention to detail.
Highly numerate, with the proven ability to understand, analyse, interpret, and explain complicated information and data.
