You won’t have to work at a polling station giving out ballot papers, but you will be part of the core team who makes sure that our 75,000 electors can vote by visiting a polling station or by post.
You will be working in the council offices within a small team in an administrative role. You would be dealing with customers, our councillors and others teams around the council.
This role is very varied and you can be talking to a customer about their postal vote or checking ballot papers to make sure the wording is correct. You will also be processing local searches on our Total Land Charges software system, making sure that the work is done within set timelines.

Sorting and scanning electoral registration forms, then inputting information onto a data base regarding electoral registration as well as making enquiries of customers.

Dealing with office-based services which can include, receiving and sending post, copying, scanning and filing of documents.
Using our election management system to update staff, polling stations and many other areas of election planning.
Assisting the Land Charges Officer with processing searches submitted by Solicitors as an essential part of buying a property.
Whilst working mainly within the Electoral Services and Local Land Charges team, team we will ensure you are able to gain knowledge of how the Council works as a whole by spending time in other areas and learning their processes and roles.
Please note, during the election period travel to other locations is neccessary, therfore candidates are required to have a full driving licence and their own transport.Training:

The Role
A typical week consists of 4-5 shifts Sunday to Thursday.
You will be working as part of a team led by a Team Leader or Store Management. You will be able to work at a fast pace to an excellent standard for our retail partners.
You will be required to carry out the following:
Removing and replacing stock with the use of pictured diagrams.
Adjusting shelf heights.
Moving stock from the warehouse onto the shop floor.
Store support where necessary.
Shift lengths are generally 12 hours, days and nights (predominately nights). Access to available assignments will be on your smartphone via our Field Power platform where you can set your availability and accept shifts.
You will be required to clock in and out using your smart phone via our Dashboard.
Travelling maybe involved when local work is not available. Accommodation will be provided when required to stay away.
Key Skills/ Experience Required
Methodical approach and keen attention to detail.
Manual handling and heavy lifting will be involved.
Productive nature with ability to work to deadlines.
Previous experience in retail desirable, although training will be provided.

Are you looking for a role where you will be involved in high profile projects for some of the UK’s leading grocery supermarkets. We have Retail Stock Replenishment Assistant opportunities that offer flexible working patterns and a job where each day and week is different.
The Role
We are looking for a number of Retail Stock Replenishment Assistant's to add to our already successful team.
Work will be carried out in a variety of retail stores, travel will vary on a shift-by-shift basis. Having your own vehicle would be advantageous.
You will be working as part of a team led by a Team Manager or Store Management. You will need to work at a fast pace and to a high standard our clients expect.
Duties will include the following:
De-merchandising and remerchandising to planograms, cleaning the fixture where required.
Reprofiling the fixture where necessary to ensure each product is shoppable for the customer.
Transporting stock from the warehouse onto the shop floor.
Supporting the store where necessary with replenishment.
Shifts are between 10-12 hours, days and nights (most shifts are nights). Access to the work available will be on your smartphone, via our Field Power platform where you can set your availability and accept shifts.
You will be required to clock in and out using your smart phone via our Dashboard.
Travelling maybe involved when local work is not available. Accommodation will be provided when required to stay away from home.
Key Skills/ Experience Required
An eye for detail.
General level of fitness as manual handling and lifting will be involved.
Hard working and ability to work under pressure.
Previous experience in retail, although training will be provided.
Problem solving and a 'can do' attitude.
Due to the nature of our work, you must be able to work unsociable hours, including early mornings and during the night when required. As a result, we can only accept applicants 18 years of age and over.

Learning how to list products on Shopify and not on the high street and any other platforms we partner with in the future
Monthly stock takes
Potentially some purchasing and buying in the future of gift items lie candles, chocolates, facemasks etc.
Support on seasonal photo shoots for new ranges
Support on data entry
Customer outreach support
Social media management
Ad hoc duties may include – making refreshments if we have a client meeting, general office support, taking phone calls/messages, greeting visitors, support with DHL/Royal Mail post – incoming/outgoing, invoice support
Occasional support may be needed on urban Bliss for holiday covers etc. where the brands overlap with the shared teams at time but primarily this would be a Parcel London specific role. Our previous apprentice Lauren Bourke who is now permanent supports on both brands
Where we are a gifting company, there will be an element of picking and packing, and creating labels to send gifts out – tracking of all deliveries, and follow ups with customers if needed
All of the above would have training provided, and we would start slowly and drip feed new tasks once original tasks have been mastered but above would be the ideal for someone to be managing.
We need someone who is motivated, enthusiastic, has some experience on excel, word and computers in general. Social media personal experience would be a bonus but not required. Someone that is friendly, and likes gifting and working on nice, pretty products and is excited to work alongside an established start up brand.

You will be fully trained to carry out the following main tasks:
Enquiry handling and customer service:
Act as first port of call for all type of enquiries. Respond to emails, phone calls, and other communications following established procedures
Assist in managing course registers for both in-person and online classes and recording attendance
Welcome and assist teachers attending in-person teaching at the Thames Suite. Support teachers delivering online courses
Liaise with Digital Skills teachers and other training providers in the University to arrange courses or talks under the Digital Capabilities programme
Contribute to promoting the Digital Capabilities programme by assisting with newsletters, social media updates, and other communication channels
Monitor user’s additional need requirements and provide support
Financial and administrative:
Help us to ensure that our course and delegate information in our course management system is correct and up to date, in line with our data quality standards
Follow established processes for making administrative arrangements for courses and events (e.g., room booking, signage, catering, travel and accommodation for staff)
Monitor payments, making sure we obtain the information we need on time. Work with the finance team to ensure we receive the money we are expecting
Follow our processes and issue refunds where appropriate
Raise Purchase Orders (e.g., for buying equipment, licences, and training)
Create/update documents that explain how our processes work
Maintain and regularly update mailing lists and expressions of interest
Support for teaching and training services:
Make sure that room, computers, software and equipment comply with our standard checklist and that they are ready when needed (e.g., are the computers and projection screens on? is the right software installed?)
When you identify non-compliant issues take remedial action (e.g., fix the issue directly or contact the technical support team)
Track, audit and keep inventories of licenses and equipment
Learn to install and test basic software, either manually or using systems provided, liaising with internal suppliers for support when required
Learn to provide basic IT and AV support (face-to-face and online). This might be showing people how to use the technology before a session or reacting quickly to live issues
Assist with the maintenance of course materials and resources, including the scheduling, recording and editing of course sessions, ensuring compliance with digital content publishing procedures

15 months practical training period, plus 3 months for End Point Assessment

Work-based training with your employer
10 days Business Professionals training at college
Approximately 12 on-site assessment visits per year
Level 2 Functional Skills in maths and English (7 days at college for each, if required)
Off the job training will count for at least 6 hours per week of an apprentice’s time at work
