An exciting role for a BUILDING SURVEYOR at Project Surveyor or Senior Project Surveyor level to join am esablished firm of construction consultants in London.
Clients are varied and current workload is with a large university, a private school and other clients.
My client's office is in central London.
Duties will include all aspects of project work for refurbishment, alteration and some new build and you will be responsible for doing the initial survey, drawings, writing specs and reports, putting out to tender and supervising the projects on site.
Projects are generally valued from around £50K to £5m and you will run a number of projects concurrently.
THE COMPANY
My client is a firm of construction consultants providing both Building Surveying and Quantity Surveying services.
They have a good variety of Blue Chip clients and investors.
THE CANDIDATE
You will be a Building Surveyor at either Project Surveyor or Senior Project Surveyor level.
You may be MRICS, MAPM or MCIOB qualified or approaching taking APC and you should have around 3 - 5 years building surveying exprience.
You will have good all round experience of building surveying but in particular for this role you will need to have good project experience to run projects on behalf of clients doing refurbishment, alterations, new build etc.
You will be able to do the initial survey, write specs and reports, put the work out to tender so deal with the contractors, supervise the contractors on site.
It is not necessary for you to have design or drawing experience and others in the firm can do that but if you do your own drawings it would be useful.
You must have a good understanding of the building process to be able to meet with clients and deal with their required project at all stages.
You should have a stable work record and have around two years or more PQE or 3 - 5 years building surveying experience if you are not yet chartered.
You must have excellent written and spoken English and be confident in dealing with people at all levels.
A stable work record with another firm of consultants or end user client is essential.
Salary will be a basic of £60000 to £65000 slightly negotiable plus discretionary bonus, pension, fees etc.

Working closely as part of a team, in conjunction with the Warehouse, Production and Manufacturing departments.
Be responsible for stock control, including: receipt, handling, location and distribution
Ensure that all stock is handled in a professional and considerate manner, as in the main it is not ours but that of our customers.
Maintain stock levels within the warehouse and all other accountable areas to include the Yard in a clean, safe and an ordered fashion and maintain consolidation of stocks within the warehouse, so to maximise space and ensure throughout.
Ensure the Production and Manufacturing areas are serviced as required in a timely fashion, maximising throughput as orders dictate.
Ensure that pallets of raw materials are properly located within the confines of all designated storage areas
Liaise closely with the Warehouse Manager to prioritise materials supplied to Production / Manufacturing, and to ensure stock is picked and ready for dispatch as required.
Ensure that unconsumed materials are correctly palletised, labelled and located back into the warehouse after use.
Report any stock shortages and any equipment failures to the Warehouse Supervisor for resolution.
Ensure maximum coverage within the warehouse and Yard area is maintained during operational hours
Warehouse and yard security (of both building and stock) is paramount at all times; take measures as may be necessary to enforce and ensure this fact
Ensure compliance with Health and Safety at Work, and maintain that Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Standard Working Instructions (SWIs) are adhered to at all times
Maintain high standards of GMP at all times in the warehouse and other accountable areas
Carry out any other reasonable duties at the request of the Warehouse Manager

Training:Level 2 Supply Chain Warehouse Operative Apprenticeship - all training will take place at the apprentices normal place of work during their normal working hours.

As a support member within the managed services team, your role is pivotal in helping to ensure our customers have a smooth and efficient experience when raising incidents and requests as part of their customer support journey.
There are 3 main elements to this role:
Initial tier 1 triage for new incidents and requests. This will operate via the support portal and phone calls
Actioning any tickets that are deemed to fall under the 1.5 support line bracket for all Totalmobile products
Being part of the primary support team for the Protect product. This includes software support, hardware support, configuring new devices, processing returns, handling stock, training and reporting. This role will report directly to the Customer Engagement Hub Manager and working closely with the Managed Services Team Lead. This team is based out of the Rochdale office and requires an element of physical hardware set up and distribution. Therefore, it is expected you will be in the physical office for most days. Exceptions for this include those on an apprenticeship who will receive a day a week to work from home on work related to their apprenticeship course and exceptions agreed with your manager.
