If in possession a full UK driving licence, drive and/or operate company provided vehicles and GSE as appropriate and on successful completion of an approved training course.
Training:For the first 9 months, you will spend your time with our training partner Resource Group studying for your UK CAA Part-66 Category A1 Licence modules, coupled with hands on practical experience in dedicated workshops and a training hangar facility. Accommodation will be provided by AirTanker in close proximity to Cotswold Airport to facilitate focused study.
Months 10-48 will be spent with AirTanker based at RAF Brize Norton, furthering the skills you have developed with Resource Group and gaining valuable maintenance experience for you to be able to complete your Level 3 NVQ portfolio and achieve End Point Assessment. Reporting to the Yeovil ISC Finance Lead, the Yeovil ISC Finance Analyst will assist in the
development of a strategic business partnership with the Yeovil ISC Site Leadership Team.
This role will work with the Yeovil ISC Finance Lead to improve product margins through
constant review and analysis of potential cost reduction initiatives covering both the
manufacturing and procurement environment.
The role will work with the ISC Finance Lead to achieve alignment across site functions including Integrated Supply Chain, Engineering, HR and the business in the achievement of targets and goals. Manufacturing Engineering - Manufacturing Engineers operate across the whole business, from product concepts through to design, procurement, manufacturing and end-product support. As a Manufacturing Engineer you will work closely with Design, Engineering, Operations, Procurement, Customers & Suppliers to achieve world class cost, quality & delivery objectives
Training:Year 1: The majority of your first year will be working offsite at college. Towards the end of the first year, you will undertake a return to site induction followed by onsite GKN training.
Years 2 & 3: You will undertake Business Familiarisation, which involves working to a rotation plan in Design, Analysis, Materials & Processes, Component/ Assembly Production, Manufacturing Engineering and Quality. All work carried out within placement areas will be recorded in work packs. These will be reviewed monthly with your GKN Training Advisor. You will return to college/university on day-release to continue studying in the classroom for your degree.
Year 4: You will be assigned to your final placement and will spend the year specialising in this area. You will also finalise your Degree and Level Four Competence Qualification during this time, as well as completion of your End Point Assessment.
