Apprentices will work with a qualified electrician primarily on electrical installation work for a period before moving towards more fault-finding and maintenance work. There are more tasks and learning opportunities for a beginner on this type of work and this is necessary as maintenance work requires a better understanding of safety procedures and technical skills that come with time.
There are times when overtime is needed to finish a job and ensure our customers can deliver the supplies required by their customers.
Although most work is local, there is occasionally work away, sometimes requiring overnight stays.
