To seek to support service users who have experienced homelessness to move into their own homes in a planned and supported way.To offer advice, training, information and one-to-one/group support to help service users through this process. Leicestershire County Council Children's services are seeking to recruit a Social Work Assistant to join their team. The role is hybrid working with a mixture of home working, visits in the community with service users and office based work. The team take responsibility for managing a caseload of more complex and higher need cases within a child looked after and care proceedings context. You will have a proficient ability to communicate in English and be able to influence others to help coordinate services and supports in the best way possible to keep children as safe and well cared for as possible.
About you
Knowledge and experience working within a Frontline Team such as Child Protection or Referral and Assessment is essential for this role. You will need to hold a degree within Social Work (Degree/DipSW/CQSW) as well as 3 years post qualifying experience. A Social Work England registration and access to your own vehicle is a requirement.

Take initiative in establishing resource, for instance, group work programmes and specialist counselling to meet the needs of service users.
5. Attend and participate in multidisciplinary teams and meetings, planning reviews with colleagues and relevant professional staff to assist and analyse the needs of service users and to plan care programmes in accordance with those needs. 6. Ensure all information and reports relevant to work carried out is recorded, updated and completed in an efficient and timely manner and according to Directorate/legislative policies and procedures so that decisions made and acted upon are fully evidenced and provide sufficiently for audit, court or any other legitimate purpose.
