We are seeking a skilled and motivated Test, Survey, and Repair Technician to join our innovative client in the heart of Poole. This role involves testing, inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing products to ensure functionality and quality standards. You will contribute to maintaining high performance across manufacturing and engineering processes while adhering to company health and safety policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform testing and inspection of manufactured and purchased products using relevant specifications and equipment.
- Diagnose faults and repair units, including wiring, card changes, and component-level replacements.
- Conduct surveys to assess product conditions and identify issues.
- Write detailed reports on test results, failures, and defective components.
- Provide support for prototype equipment, offering specialist advice on testing requirements.
- Maintain and improve test equipment and manufacturing processes.
- Work collaboratively to ensure deadlines and customer requirements are met.
- Follow health and safety guidelines and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
Qualifications and SkillsEssential:
- Level 3 qualification in Electrical and Electronics or equivalent experience.
- Strong understanding of electrical/electronic test practices.
- Ability to read circuit diagrams and fault-find to component level.
- Knowledge of electrical/electronic test equipment and ESD procedures.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and programming.
Desirable:
- Experience in IPC 620 and 610 standards for repair.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Confident problem solver with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Self-motivated, team player, with a "can-do" attitude.

Overhaul and test pumps, motors, and control valves to ensure optimal functionality.
Create detailed service reports and maintain accurate records, completing all paperwork, test procedures, risk assessments, and toolbox talks to a very high standard.
Provide support to other trades and disciplines where required to ensure seamless operations.
Install, hook-up, function check, and run subsea controls equipment, including but not limited to Work Over Control Systems, reels, umbilicals, sheaves, pumps, pressure-containing vessels, and flushing units.
Build and carry out modifications to subsea controls equipment as needed, adhering to industry standards and specifications.
Perform hydrotesting and flushing of surface, subsea, controls, and wellhead equipment to ensure system integrity.
When qualified, conduct gas testing of surface and subsea equipment.
Lead and assist with customer site integration testing of surface and subsea wellhead and controls equipment.
Maintain the work package, ensuring proper signing of route cards, procedures, and labeling of work package evidence, including charts and flushing samples.
Qualifications and requirement for the Hydraulic Technician:
Proven experience in hydraulic systems maintenance, repair, and installation, especially in subsea environments.
Ability to interpret complex engineering drawings and schematics.
Experience working with high-pressure equipment and hydraulic systems.
Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills with hands-on experience in overhauling hydraulic components.
