Main Responsibilities:
As part of your apprenticeship, you will learn and develop your skills and knowledge to fulfil the line technician responsibilities as below:
To develop an excellent working knowledge of all Crowcon products
Provide first line technical support for all product ranges to triage and repair down to component level
The ability to triage and repair to component level
Creation of reports relating to product / process issues
Maintain and commission assembly and test equipment
Identify areas for continuous improvement and contribute to implementation of solutions
Support the implementation of new processes into manufacturing
Carry out maintenance schedules
Responsibility of safe working practices in accordance with health and safety policies

13 months practical training period, plus 3 months for End Point Assessment

Work-based training with your employer
Day release during term time (approximately 2 days a week for 1 year)
Approximately 12 on-site assessment visits per year
Off the job training will count for at least 6 hours a week of an apprentice’s time at work

Position Summary:
The Continuous Improvement Engineer will be a part of Carboline Global Continuous Improvement Team supporting the development and execution of continuous improvement projects at the Lake Charles, LA manufacturing facility. The person in this role will serve as a key resource to support plant optimization efforts regarding capacity, cost, safety, quality, and environmental improvements.
Essential Functions:
Understanding of Lean Manufacturing/Continuous Improvement methodologies and ability to teach and model them. Investigating shortfalls, issues, and complaints in current business processes. Ability to influence, mentor, and coach to get results through others. Collaborates with operations manager and/or plant engineering on modification of equipment and processes to reduce cost and improve efficiency and quality. Works together with R&D, engineering, and plant resources to develop and implement continuous improvement projects. Provides technical support and consultation to the Quality Control department. Specifically, regarding recovery plans for off-specification, obsolete, and problem finished goods. Monitors the consistency of production using SQC, SPC, or other appropriate techniques. Strong communicator with top-notch presentation skills who can develop and provide training to production personnel on matters concerning formulation, materials handling, processing, and quality procedures. Follow all environmental rules and regulations to ensure hazardous materials and waste are managed in an environmentally responsible manner. Leadership role in effort to recertify and reclaim Non-Conforming material. Works in coordination with QC and R&D to isolate, test and recertify Non-Conforming material that can be repackaged and sold. Observing production processes, conducting research, and finding ways to increase efficiency and quality. Requirements:
4 years Chemistry, Engineering degree or equivalent experience, minimum 3 years' experience in a CI role. Formal training in Lean and/or Six Sigma methodologies preferred Green Belt. Ability to read and interpret documents such as procedure manuals, operating and maintenance manuals and safety rules. Ability to use a computer for all company required processes, procedures, and trainings.

The role
As a QHSSE Marine Superintendent you will be responsible for driving QHSSE processes: auditing, incident investigations and IMS improvements. You will support and advise the Global Fleet QHSSE Manager, DPA/CSO. Global Fleet QHSSE Advisor, Marine Assurance Officers, Fleet Safety Coaches in day to day operations.
You will be deputise the Fleet Services Global Fleet QHSSE Lead and Global Fleet Compliance Lead when necessary.
The job involves conducting internal ISM/ISPS/MLC/ISO audits and inspections for assigned vessels, as well as navigational audits. You will prepare vessels for external ISM/ISPS/MLC/ISO audits and assist the Vessel Teams in developing corrective and preventive actions and root cause analysis from internal and external audits and incident investigations. You will lead level 2 and higher incident investigations and assist in level 1 investigations where required. Additionally, you will prepare review meetings and present incident investigations for senior management, prepare lessons learned and preventive actions from incidents and NCRs, and share these across the fleet. Onboard training for crews on IMS procedures is also part of the role.
You will maintain the Integrated Management System (IMS) updates with consistent improvements to produce quality, accuracy, adequate, and efficient procedures, and provide and develop constructive new ideas. Advising vessel teams on compliance with upcoming rules and regulations is also required. Communication with FS departments, Fugro business lines, and contractors will be directed by the Global Fleet QHSSE Manager.
In terms of OH&S management, you are responsible for carrying out work as per IMS procedures, reporting all HSSE incidents, and actively participating in all engagements as requested by the employer. Project management responsibilities include defining projects, building comprehensive work plans, executing and closing projects, and ensuring the coordination and delivery of key project milestones on time and within budget and scope. You will measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques.

The candidate needs to have a Bachelor higher technical education i.e. Naval Architect, Naval Engineer or Maritime Education and experience as a certified vessel Officer They need to be advanced in Internal Auditing and Marine Incident Investigations. AV Commissioning Engineer – This position will see you working with the Lead av engineer, PM & other junior AV engineers to get you what you need to be able to commission any systems in the timeframe laid out by the PM. You should be hands on but also able to delegate so you can concentrate on commissioning whenever needed. The role will be an evolving position responding to the requirements of the company, however the main duties will include:
Working closely with the AV Project manager, engineers & third party teams to get you what you need to commission ahead of attending site.
