What will you be doing?
As a Technical Superintendent you will be working within a dynamic team responsible for the safe and economic operation of a fleet of Dual Fuel vessels.
Duties:
Oversee vessel performance
Responsible for the technical and operational condition of vessels.
Provide subject matter expertise and support to your vessels, crews and colleagues
You will ensure vessels are fully certified according to international maritime legislative requirements, Flag State administrations and Classification Societies
Manage all phases of the dry-docking process from initial planning to completion.

Minimum Requirements:
4 years Chemistry, Engineering degree or equivalent experience, minimum 3 years' experience. Formal training in Lean and/or Six Sigma methodologies. Ability to read and interpret documents such as procedure manuals, operating and maintenance manuals and safety rules. Ability to use a computer for all company required processes, procedures, and trainings.
Essential Functions:
Experience in identification and implementation of process optimization solutions. Understanding of Lean Manufacturing/Continuous Improvement methodologies and ability to teach and model them. Collaborates with operations manager and/or plant engineering on modification of equipment and processes to reduce cost and improve efficiency and quality. Collaborates with R&D on process development - Including reviewing and approving proposed manufacturing procedures for new products. As the facilities maintenance engineer, your role will be to maintain the building services, building fabric and all equipment in a cost-effective manner, ensuring compliance with all current national legislation. This role is commutable from Solihull, Royal Leamington Spa, Coventry and Birmingham, with close links to the M42.
The Role
- Working as part of the Engineering team you will be responsible for providing planned and preventative maintenance, as well as reactive maintenance for all equipment, grounds and fabric within the hospital.
- You will analyse faulty equipment through to onsite repairs and liaise closely with specialist contractors.
- You will be responsible for identifying and initiating action, either directly or via contractors, on all repairs required, in the event of a breakdown or defect.
- You will input relevant data following PPM actions into the planning record system to ensure accurate records are maintained.
- To carry out or coordinate any minor alterations (e.g. refurbishment, redecoration) to the building as and when required.
- Ensure stock levels of engineering items and consumables are kept at a satisfactory level.
The Candidate
- Must have a minimum of 1 year experience within a building services or facilities maintenance position
Experience performing duties such as replacing or repairing electrical appliances or general plumbing or HVAC or water testing
- Must hold an apprenticeship or qualification in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or building services equivalent
Full UK Driving Licence and access to own vehicle is essential - Be a great communicator with a strong work ethic.

As a Senior Regional Service Engineer, you will join a dedicated service team, where you will play a pivotal role in upholding the Kärcher brand while delivering exceptional service to their customers. Within this role you will predominantly, maintain and repair across the South East covering Kent, Sussex, Surrey and Hampshire. Key Responsibilities for the Senior Regional Service Engineer
Maintain a high standard of service and repair on all cleaning equipment, ensuring world-class service delivery
Serve as a custodian of the Kärcher brand, embodying the values in all interactions
Communicate regularly with the Regional Service Manager to coordinate activities and address customer needs
Diagnose and repair a wide range of industrial cleaning equipment, including municipal machinery
Complete work orders promptly and accurately, maintaining meticulous records
Manage stock in accordance with customer requirements, ensuring optimal inventory levels
Collaborate with the regional scheduler to optimise efficiency and customer satisfaction
Identify and communicate sales leads to the relevant sales personnel, contributing to business growth
Develop positive relationships with customers and internal teams
Participate in on-the-job coaching and personal development activities
Qualifications and Experience for the Senior Regional Service Engineer
Formal mechanical/electrical qualifications are required
Experience, attributes and skills required for the Senior Regional Service Engineer
Proficiency in electronics, batteries, hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical, and diesel engines
Experience with municipal cleaning equipment, fork trucks, HGVs, plant hire, horticultural, or agricultural machinery is advantageous.
Proven experience in the service and/or cleaning industry is preferred, or willingness to undergo fast-track training
Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
Strong organisational skills with the capacity to manage multiple tasks efficiently
A full UK driving license is essential, with willingness to travel and stay overnight as required
Passport for potential training in Germany is preferred
