The successful applicant will act as Legal Advisor to the Director team throughout the contract process and have an expertise in contract law ideally from the Construction industry. Desirable Skills

Contract Details
This is a 12-month initial contract with the possibility to extend that period up to 23 months. The working hours are 37 hours a week, Monday to Friday. Office of the Advocate General currently operates a hybrid working model. All staff are expected to attend the office when business needs require and to spend at least 40% of their working time in the office (measured over a 4-week period). This role will also require occasional travel to London to attend training events and cover parliamentary debates on Scotland Act orders.

If you are a commercial property solicitor looking for a part time role with flexibility this role could well be for you. Based in North Yorkshire this firm offer an unusual degree of flexibility, and whilst they would ideally like one anchor day, the offer hybrid and flexible working on a part time basis.
The firm has a flexible approach and work really closely with their clients. Many of their clients are young entrepreneurial companies and they work with them on a retainer basis which means the firm operate almost as in house counsel, this alters the dynamic with the clients in what most find a very positive way. Where work isn’t covered by the retainer it is run on a fixed fee basis which again is liberating.
