Responsibilities and Duties:
As a Test Technician, you will be a crucial member of the team, ensuring the quality and precision of our optical fiber products. Reporting to the Test and Quality Manager, your responsibilities include:
Operating proof test machines, performing length checks, and conducting fiber scraping.
Conducting various Geometric and Optical measurements on optical fiber products, using standard work instructions and specialised software on precision test equipment.
Accurately logging results in preset spreadsheets and in-house databases.
Monitoring measurement trends and promptly reporting any irregularities to the Engineering team.
Performing basic maintenance operations on test equipment when required.
Continuously improving your skills to enhance measurement accuracy.
Suggesting and participating in continuous improvement projects and activities.
Effective communication with engineering and test technician shift teams to ensure precise and accurate handover information.
Full compliance with all written policies, procedures, and instructions, highlighting any inconsistencies to your line manager immediately.
Requirements:
To succeed in this role, you should meet the following criteria:
Minimum 5 GCSEs at grade C (4) or above, or equivalent, including Maths and Science.
Proficient in English communication, both verbal and written, with a minimum level of B1 (where relevant)
High degree of dexterity, accuracy, and attention to detail, with the ability to work under minimal supervision.
Quick learner with an interest in the study of measurement.
Positive team-working skills and a proactive approach to communication with colleagues.

Position: Utility Technician Position Summary: Responsible for production and compliance assigned duties. This includes but is not limited to batch and process manufacturing, compliance responsibilities, inventory control, bulk material handling, and packaging. Specific Requirements: 1. The Role
Tracing frames, transferring shapes and Blocking lenses to customer requirement
Edging on Manual edgers and assembly of Metal, Plastic, Supra and Rimless frames
Edging and assembly of bespoke frames
Verifying out completed orders to ISO standard and Customer requirement
Achieving Department KPI’s(glazing yield, Return Yield, Frame Breakage)
Priortising orders by delivery date
Supporting colleague and team (In particular the Assembly Glazing team)
Verifying in lenses to optical ISO standard and customer requirement
Requirements
Previous experience working within an optical glazing laboratory environment
Ability to work as part of a team in a proactive and supporting manner
Ability to use manual focimeter to include marking up of lenses
Extensive optical lens knowledge
Excellent practical knowledge of tracing
Excellent organisational skills
Ability to prioritise and work to deadlines and targets
Attention to detail
Ability to read and interpret alpha/numerical writing to an exceptional level of accuracy
Excellent written and oral communication skills
They currently have two different shift patterns available;
Mon to Fri - 8am to 4pm - £24,500 plus 6% bonus
Mon to Fri - 6am to 2pm, 2pm to 10pm - Bi weekly- £23,500 plus shift allowance (£2040) + 6% bonus

Position: QC Technician
Location: South Kildare
Salary: Excellent Package Available
Perform all in-house QC testing on incoming raw materials, raw samples and /or finished products, working with minimal supervision. Receive instruction and guidance from QC Chemists and management. The position has internal contact with Production, and Purchasing and inter-company lab personnel regarding resources and procedures. This individual must maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in ways that foster good relationships with vendors, customers, co-workers and supervisors, while achieving and enhancing performance standards.
Responsibilities:
Perform all functions and duties in the Laboratory operations as needed.
Select and prepare all standards for comparison with samples from production.
Evaluate incoming raw material samples for compliance with specifications.
Responsible for collection, review and filing of Certificates of Analysis for all raw materials.
Responsible for documenting HACCP CCP and OPRP requirements.
Prepare samples for outside testing as needed.
Responsible for organising, storing, clean up and disposal of QC retained samples.
Responsible for cleaning and calibration all QC lab instruments on a regular basis.
Report problem areas within the QC function and recommend solutions.
Wash all glassware; maintain clean working area and sufficient inventory of supplies in the lab.
Must demonstrate skill in establishing and implementing QC procedures for the continuous improvement of QC department functions. Maintain accurate records on all work performed.
Maintain and calibrate instruments regularly.
Maintain adequate stocks of reagents and materials for the Lab.
Responsible for the selection and use of standard samples for QC materials evaluation.
Perform standard routine tests (Brix, pH, turbidity etc.) on products.
Adhere to all GMPs, GLPs, safety procedures and test methods and specifications.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience preferred
Industry experience a plus,
Sensory experience an advantage
Excellent computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
Critical thinking and negotiation skills
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Sensory Experience is highly desirable
