Job Description Service Care Solutions are currently recruiting for a Senior Finance Officer on behalf of a School in Maidenhead. The postholder will be required for 30 hours per week (Monday to Friday) to support the Head of Finance and Finance Officers manage the school’s budget, funding, and procurement process on behalf of the Headteacher and Governing Board (GB). They will also support the Head of Finance with the financial management planning and delivery for the school and with day-to-day finance-related operations.
Main Responsibilities

An opportunity has arisen for a Corporate Reporting and Financial Analyst primarily based at our head office in Uxbridge. You will work to support a large retail portfolio of parking assets. This is a new role that will oversee financial, data analysis and reporting at both site and head office level. Working closely with the client you will be expected to provide accurate and meaningful financial analysis and information to internal and external stakeholders.
What you'll do:
- Assist the Account Manager in ensuring the smooth delivery of the contract with financial analysis and reporting responsibilities.
- Liaise & work closely with the clients finance teams at both a local & Head Office level
- Responsible for revenue & cost management across the portfolio.
- Monthly reviews of income, revenue and expenditure by site.
- Support both the client & Account Manager with budgeting & forecasting.
- Identify financial trends and instigate remedial action where necessary.
- Preparation of monthly revenue & expenditure reports.
- Management of Data Analytics dashboards.
- Tariff reviews & competitor analysis.
- Assist with business case planning.
What you'll bring:
- Experience in a similar role is essential.
- Qualified/Part-qualified or QBE ACCA/ACA/CIMA would be advantageous.
- Good communication skills both verbally and in written form.
- Ability to present to management level.
- Good IT systems knowledge and skills, especially a track record of using IT systems in a financial transaction environment and pick up systems quickly.
- Good Knowledge of Office 365 and associated applications such as teams, planer, word, excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint.

This will include all day-to-day management of our financial systems and banking, including our accountancy software (Quickbooks) and our internal financial spreadsheets. This involves recording and tracking the income expected from funders, processing invoices and payments, preparing payroll and producing monthly reconciliations and termly budgets. You will also work with our teams to ensure compliance with our financial policies, process expenses and work with our external accountants each year to provide the information needed for our accounts.
You will also research, advise and steer on both necessary changes to our processes, policies and procedures and standalone project work which may involve tasks such as reviewing our pensions processes or any savings and investments. You will understand and enjoy the challenge that working at a charity with multiple complex funding streams brings.
You will have experience of similar work, ideally in the charity sector and will be familiar with the use of both accountancy software and managing cashflows and budgets using Excel.
