The Role
We are looking for Retail stock count Assistant to add to our already successful team.
Work will be carried out on different Retail customer sites and stores and travel will vary on a shift-by-shift basis. All travel is provided on the minibus.

Being able to stand for prolonged periods of time is needed for the role and access equipment may have to be used on occasion to reach high stock
Typical working week will consist of 3-4 x 8-12hr shifts
Key Skills/ Experience Required
Due to the nature of our work, you must be able to work unsociable hours including early mornings and during the night when required. As a result, we can only accept applicants 18 years and over
You must have a ‘can do’ attitude and be able to work long shifts where required on large counts.
With our innovative business, the technology changes and therefore being a quick learner is a key skill required.
Any experience of handling stock is an advantage but not a necessity.

We are currently looking for a motivated, professional, and flexible individual able to work 5 days a week, within a small stock count team, counting our Pharmacy Clients.
In this role, you are required to accurately count stock for Retail & Asset Solutions in various high street Pharmacies, this role is extremely important to ensure pharmacies are fully stocked with the medication required for local Doctors and Hospitals. Please note all training is provided upon your first shift. Previous stock, audit or retail experience is advantageous but not essential.

Applicants are expected to:

Perform related duties as assigned by Operations Manager
Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures
Complete Palletways exceptions before 13:00 noon daily
Book in pallets for next day delivery/collection
Log all ADR recharges and each Monday log onto palletways portal
Go though ADRs assigned to Darcica and challenge after investigation if Darcica not at fault
Periodically monitor all Customer Service email inbox (plus any others required if cover needed) and respond to all emails in a timely manner
Forward incoming emails to relevant people where required
Deal with incoming telephone queries/enquiries
Deal with parcel queries/enquiries including locating missing parcels, submitting claims and liaising with customers
Add all claims and the progress to the claims log
Go through exceptions on hold daily and log with carriers where necessary. Update customers if needed
Check over and respond to Bonus Malus exceptions report challenging where possible
Liaise with each carrier regarding parcel queries/enquiries
Set up parcel/pallet consignments and print labels
Deal with pallet queries, either from customers or Depots
Assist in locating any pallets if not showing as at depot, where required
Make/confirm delivery and collection arrangements with customers
Ensure timely communication with all drivers to update with changes to delivery or collection requirements
Assist with company driver queries regarding:
Delivery failures
Unable to contact customers
Unable to get to or locate delivery point
Issues where the delivery point is closed
Liaise with fulfilment customers regarding:
Ensure all orders are on the IT system
Deal with any queries
Set up and track third party collections
Ensure each third-party collection is correctly charged to the correct customer
Complete a customer manifest of all parcels at cease work
Complete a carrier manifest of all parcels at cease work

A broad range of accounting and taxation compliance tasks will be undertaken, providing experience across various activities.
Tasks at some point would include:
Maintaining customer records on various accounting software/spreadsheets
Matching the bank feeds
Reconciliation of records with bank statements
Understanding the various accounting software in use
Summarising client records where no accounts package is used
Posting such records to our accounts' preparation software
Resolution of queries arising from the accounts' preparation process – this may involve contact with clients by e-mail, phone or face to face (support will be given by experienced staff in such circumstances)
Preparation of financial statements
Preparation of tax returns, corporation tax returns & VAT returns for review by the manager
Training:During your training you will be expected to develop an understanding of the practical issues involved in delivering a high-quality service to clients.
Both practical and theoretical training will be undertaken, with the aim of becoming a member of the Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT).
You will undertake the “Accounts/ Finance Assistant” Apprenticeship (an intermediate Apprenticeship), with full support from Accountancy Learning as part of their Flexible Apprenticeship Programme.
This is a blended learning experience for apprentices which incorporates multiple teaching methods to suit the learning styles of our apprentices. We have on-demand learning materials that can be accessed at any time alongside face-to-face contact with a personal tutor either via Microsoft Teams, or at one of our college sites once a week.
