Primary tasks.
The primary tasks to be performed by this role are as follows (all are subject to us providing appropriate training):
Carry out phone and email based support services Monday - Friday 9.00am - 5.30pm, by providing timely and accurate responses to customers, partners and 3rd party organisations
Investigate user, technical and administrative issues raised by customers or colleagues
Use internal systems and processes to inform developers of bugs and issues and monitor their correction and retesting
Liaise with third parties as may be necessary to resolve issues
Write and maintain test plans, and scripts, for ad-hoc testing and for regular repeatable testing of ‘standard’ products and bespoke developments
Perform and report on software testing of new and updated modules
Use automated software testing tools to improve efficiency and repeatability of test cycles
Maintain documentation and statistical analysis of test runs
Prepare change control board documentation and chair change approval meetings
Assist the change control board to approve developed software for rollout to customers or internal use
Carry out minor system upgrades
Assist with production of user documentation
With appropriate training completed, provide ‘on-call’ support out of normal working hours on a rota basis (one week in 4, but subject to change)
