Location: Hybrid working 3 days office, 2 days home. Commutable to London, Glasgow or Manchester.

Role Overview:
Are you a seasoned Pre Sales Solutions Architect with expertise in Secure Managed Network Solutions? Join this team and play a pivotal role in supporting our sales efforts by providing technical guidance and consultancy expertise. As a key member of the team, your deep understanding of Cisco solutions (SD-Wan, Meraki) will drive the success of the sales initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate closely with the sales team to understand client requirements and provide technical guidance.
Serve as a subject matter expert on Managed Network Solutions, particularly from Cisco.
Conduct detailed technical assessments and analysis of client environments.
Develop tailored HLD solutions to address client needs and deliver value-added services.
Create compelling proposals, presentations, and demonstrations for clients.
Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to inform solution design.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and partners.
Key Tasks:
Conduct technical assessments and site surveys to gather client requirements.
Develop solution architectures that align with business objectives.
Collaborate with product management and engineering teams.
Participate in customer meetings and presentations.
Provide technical training to the sales team.
Assist in the preparation of sales collateral.
Support post-sale implementation and deployment activities.
Experience Required:
Proven experience as a Solutions Architect or Technical Consultant in telecommunications or MSP Provider
Deep understanding of Cat SD-Wan, Meraki, Secure Managed Network Solutions, particularly from Cisco.
Strong technical expertise and consultancy capability.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Network Engineering Manager – In this position you will work alongside the Project Management and Engineering teams. There will be opportunities to work with the latest technologies, influence design and deliver systems to the highest quality. You will be responsible for consulting on design, configuring network hardware, commissioning, and delivery of a project’s network and telecommunications systems as a department lead. It is essential that you are an excellent communicator with good Client facing skills and have strong network engineering experience and excellent knowledge of wireless networks, fibre optics and telecoms systems. This is a field-based role that also requires international travel. The position will see you working on systems that are deployed in the high end residential market and within the integration of bullet proof systems in the world of high end superyachts.
Consult on network design and architecture for yacht and residential projects.
Configure, deploy and commission network infrastructure (routing/switching, Wi-Fi, firewalls, WAN).
Own technical quality: testing, fault-finding, and final sign-off readiness.
Produce and maintain accurate documentation (as-built, configs, IP plans, test results).
Provide practical escalation support during build and commissioning.
Lead and support a team of engineers on live projects (allocation, guidance, standards, coaching).
Manage interfaces with shipyards, builders, owners’ reps, and third-party contractors.
Report progress, risks, and blockers clearly to the Project Manager.
Train and upskill engineers—raise consistency across the department.
CCNA – essential
CCNP – desirable (or equivalent experience)
Strong experience designing and delivering networks end-to-end.
VLANs, trunking, STP fundamentals, DHCP/DNS, routing basics (OSPF preferred; BGP a plus).
QoS and traffic shaping principles (especially important for voice/video).
Multicast/IGMP basics (helpful in AV-over-IP environments).
PoE design awareness (budgets, switch selection, edge device demands).
Enterprise Wi-Fi deployment and management (controller-based or equivalent).
Wi-Fi surveys, coverage analysis and heatmaps (Ekahau or equivalent).
Commissioning approach that proves performance, not just “looks connected”.
Firewall configuration and deployment (Cisco, Fortinet, Check Point, Sophos, WatchGuard, Palo Alto). • Solid fundamentals: segmentation (owner/guest/crew/IoT), secure remote access/VPN, ACL deployment.
Multi-WAN / SD-WAN style solutions and path selection (Peplink, Celerway, Kerio, Sophos, Cisco, Kognitive networks, etc.).
3G/4G/5G routers/modems, ISP management, VSAT connectivity constraints.
SIP/VoIP fundamentals (Session Initiation Protocol) and IP telephony systems.
Fault-finding and commissioning are compulsory.
Comfortable using hand tools and network/telecom test equipment.
Fibre experience: handling and testing basics (power levels/links) — OTDR knowledge a plus. General
Strong English (written and spoken) and confident client-facing communication.
Competent with Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, Teams, SharePoint, OneNote, PowerPoint).

We are searching for an experienced Network Security Engineer to be responsible for ensuring the Group’s IT Networks and Communications are well designed, secure, optimal and function consistently across all internal and external operations.
IT and Cyber Security is extremely important and is key to all our client’s operations and you will play an extremely vital role in developing and maintaining security services throughout the business.
The role is offered on a hybrid-working basis with up to 2-days per week working from home. The role requires you in the office at least 3-days per week so you MUST live within a commutable distance of Exeter to be considered for the position or you will be looking to relocate to the area. In this role you will be responsible for the following:
Reviewing and managing network security services in line with Group security objectives and policies.
Monitoring and administrating the security of both internal and external corporate network communications, including, routers, switches, firewalls, DMZ, servers, Wi-Fi, OT, telephony and LAN/WAN/VPN communication services.
Constantly reviewing the IP space across the organisation ensuring that the TCP/IP stack, VLANs, IP Subnet, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, and VoIP traffic is well designed, secure and optimised.
You will ensure best practices are used for delivering network security. Continually monitoring, maintaining and testing the threat landscape and security posture.
Provide regular service status updates to line management and agree and monitor service availability targets.
Manage all SSL and external web server security functions to ensure data protection, systems integrity and user confidence at all times.
Manage NIS2 and GDPR privacy policies and operational practice.
Perform regular reviews of security solutions and processes, identifying opportunities for optimisation to over two hundred office, home and field-based employees.
Provide day-to-day cyber security guidance and support to relevant technical & business stakeholders.
Deliver annual penetration testing and implement recommended improvements.
Research latest network cyber threat developments and recommend any actions that will improve network performance and security.
Work closely with NIBE SOC teams and internal security engineers to ensure all preventative security measures are implemented and Zero Day / critical threats are extinguished in line with internal resolution targets. Collaborate with other business teams to ensure the proper use of systems.
Coordinate investigations and reporting of security incidents related to Network, Systems and Applications. Diagnose root causes of system failures and implement appropriate corrective actions.
Assist with OT process and system change management, overseeing testing and approval of changes using an approved methodology.
Ensure all network hardware assets are identifiable and updated in the asset management system.
Provide technical expertise to support the maintenance of our hardware infrastructure systems and services.
Work closely with NIBE IT teams to ensure Group IT policies are continually checked and in place.
Required Experience
A computer related degree or relevant professional certification and accreditation is preferred.
Extensive commercial experience in an IT security role maintaining secure networks in a MS-Windows and Linux environment.
Expert knowledge of and experience in LAN/WAN/VLAN communications, VPN configuration and enterprise wireless networking. Experience of Dell core and edge switches with fibre is preferable.
CCNA/CCNP equivalent accreditation is advantageous but is not essential.
Experience and excellent working knowledge of GNS3 (or similar) is really beneficial.
Firewall configuration, management and monitoring experience is essential. Experience of FortiGate products preferable.
TCP/IP networking stack, DNS, DHCP, RADIUS/AAA, Active Directory, SSL, 2FA, OT skills are essential for this position.
Knowledge of information security standards (e.g., ISO 17799/27002/27001/PCI DSS/SIEM, etc.), rules and regulations related to information security and data confidentiality (e.g., FERPA, HIPAA, etc.) and key network security principles for risk identification and analysis.
Knowledge of Linux OS and Windows Server and desktop operating systems configuration & troubleshooting and SCCM/MECM skills are preferrable.
Knowledge of and experience in virtual network technologies, specifically ESXi and VMware configuration and administration is advantageous.
Knowledge of MDM products, CrowdStrike and Cortex XDR configuration and administration would be advantageous.
Experienced user of Office 365, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint etc. – any MS E3 subscription services.
Excellent troubleshooting, diagnostic, problem-solving and communication skills.
Flexibility to work on planned, out of hours systems projects if required.
Training is available for the right candidate to ensure complementary skills are acquired.
