MULTI SKILLED ENGINEER – PERMANENT – HERTFORDSHIRE
A leading biotech client in the Hertfordshire area are looking for Multi Skilled Engineers to join their engineering team on a permanent basis, working a shift pattern of earlies & lates/ double days.
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, this role will take responsibility for reliable and compliant operation across the site services and equipment on the facility as well as providing engineering support and expertise within the engineering team on critical utilities equipment and systems including HVAC, Air Handling Units, BMS, EMS, Medical Gases, Compressed Air Systems.
Other responsibilities will include:
Support maintenance activities across mechanical, electrical, instrumentation and controls
Ensure documentation and data is completed to statutory, H&S and GxP standards
Creating maintenance procedures (Including writing SOPs).
Responding to & diagnosing faults and repair of equipment breakdowns
Conducting risk assessment prior to any maintenance work.
Supporting fault finding, root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective actions on behalf of the team
Managing critical spares requirements, reviewing supply and storage needs
Managing specific maintenance and project activities
Successful candidates will ideally have experience working to GMP standards within a regulated environment with proven experience maintaining and supporting site critical equipment. You will be multi skilled and hold a professional engineering qualification i.e. apprenticeship qualified, HNC, HND, City & Guilds etc.

What you will need: - Degree in Electrical/Electronics and/or Power Electronics Engineering or equivalent. - Proven electronics design experience, preferably power converters experience (7+ years) - Experience in electronics circuits design and simulation including HiL and SiL simulations. - Experience using tools such as SPICE, Altium, MATLAB. - Good understanding of electronics elements and their principles, integrated circuits IC and high frequency electronic systems. - Ability to design, create and read PCB schematics. - Good understanding of signal processing and passive/active filter designs. - An understanding of best practices related to thermo-mechanical design considerations within the electronics industry. - Experience of conducting laboratory-based testing using lab test equipment such as oscilloscopes, power analysers, multi-meters etc. - Experience designing electronic components fit for large scale production. - Communication skills enabling you to work with multiple departments across the globe. - A drive to learn new things!
