Programme Overview:
Year 1 - You will complete on-the-job training by shadowing your mentor and other Engineers
You will learn to support an engineer and perform basic tasks under supervision
Year 2 - You will continue to work under the supervision of your mentor, and will begin to perform tasks alongside qualified engineers, where your work will be checked and signed off by qualified engineers
Year 3 - You will be able to independently perform servicing and minor repairs on equipment that is familiar to you, where your completed work will be checked and signed off by a qualified engineer. 3rd Year Apprentices who have a valid full driving licence** and successfully complete Briggs’ driver training, may be eligible to be issued with a Company van (for field-based roles)
Year 4 - Subject to successfully achieving your apprenticeship qualification, you will progress to the ‘Improver’ year. You will be qualified to independently perform servicing, minor and major repairs, and sign off your own work. You will be able to receive assistance from more experienced engineers on unfamiliar equipment
During this 4th year you will develop your independent on-the-job practical experience, and undertake further internal training, to make the transition to become a fully-qualified Engineer upon successful completion of the programme
Training:
Lift truck and powered access engineering technician (level 3)
The qualification aligns with the following professional recognition: Institute of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE) for Engineering Technicians, Institute of Engineering & Technology (IET) for Engineering Technicians, Institute of the Motor Industry (IMI) for Level 3 recognition
Apprentices will also benefit from completing a range of internal and external product and engineering skills training, delivered by Briggs Equipment Group’s internal Technical Training team
Apprentices will also have the opportunity to complete an Outward-Bound experience, IT & presentation skills training as part of the 4-year programme
Training Outcome:
Upon successful completion of the 4-year programme and subject to satisfactory performance, you will be considered for a permanent contract as a fully qualified Engineer, with starting salary expectations c.£30k+ dependent on location
We encourage internal progression, and Briggs’ colleagues in roles including Regional Engineering Director, Regional Engineering Business Manager, Engineering Manager, Technical Trainer and Master Technician, all started their careers as apprentices.

Carry out routine maintenance and repairs on all makes of vehicles and trailers to DVSA standards and Company standards.
Diagnose and rectify all types of faults using your experience and ability, working on your own initiative, ensuring cost effective and safe repairs to an extremely high standard.
Attend and repair disabled vehicles at customer sites.
Ensure that all vehicles worked on are handled carefully and that precautions are taken whilst in the workshop and/or customer premises.
Ensure that Health and Safety regulations and the Company safe systems of work and processes are adhered to at all times.
Ensure all jobs are recorded properly, appropriately and accurately recording times, ensuring all job cards and service sheets are actioned in the agreed timescales.

Maintaining high standards of housekeeping throughout the shift.
Keep up to date with all relevant DVSA and product developments, be receptive to training and participate fully in the ongoing development and continuous improvement activities within the business.

Participate in any site security requirements.
Complete work as directed by the Foreman, Workshop Manager or General Manager at any time.
TO SUCCEED, YOU WILL NEED:
A technical qualification related to commercial vehicles (City & Guilds level 3, NVQ level 3, or equivalent)
Current full UK driving license
Good verbal and numerical reasoning skills
Confidence in your own abilities
To be an efficient, neat, and disciplined commercial vehicle technician
Flexibility, being able to prioritise your own workload whilst supporting the team is key
To be responsive and willing to learn, receive training, developing both yourself and those around you
Excellent relationship skills with both colleagues and customers alike

Summary: We are seeking a Dispenser Service Technician (DST) responsible for managing and maintaining dispenser equipment in the field. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for all dispenser equipment in the field. Ability to visit and evaluate a plant to order the proper dispenser equipment needed to do the job right (such as conduit for electrical, hose lengths, position of dispenser, etc.) Install the dispenser equipment and help assist the customer in matching our dispenser to their plant (such as counts, added products, etc.). When the install is complete tech is responsible to clean up any mess that was created during the visit. Will be responsible to pick up any equipment in the field that needs to be removed, and returned to a Euclid facility. Responsible to wash out any tanks immediately upon being returned at the Euclid Chemical plant with the guidance of the plant manager on the waste product. Willingness and ability to restore any used equipment that can be reused. Will be required to do paperwork (such as DOT Certifications, Expense Reports, Daily or Weekly Reports, etc.) The DOT Certifications will be done professionally on Euclid Letterhead and handed to the customer. May be asked to transfer safe amounts of material from location to location (such as raw materials for concrete testing, admixture, fiber, etc.). Required to order equipment and install that equipment at the designated customer location and maintain that equipment after installation. Perform preventative maintenance on the equipment when needed. Assist in state inspections where necessary. Respond to customer issues with those dispensers when needed. Assure that their truck is properly equipped with the necessary parts to fix or repair the equipment.
SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS:
Travel: Ability to travel up to 50% of the time, including overnight stays when required.
Flexibility: A flexible schedule, including early mornings, late nights, and weekends, depending on customer needs.
Work Ethic: Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Skills: Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time-management skills. Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical work, fabrication, and mathematical concepts is essential.
