GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
The Building Science Test Assemblies Intern will collaborate closely with the Director of Building Science and Building Science Lab to compile a historical list, develop a strategy for evaluating systems, and identify prior system testing. Additionally, engage with the marketing team to create a template showcasing highlighted systems and prepare a PowerPoint presentation to emphasize capabilities and past testing results
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Collaborate with the Director of Building Science and Building Science Lab. Establish a historical list of systems. Develop a strategy for evaluating systems that need assessment. Identify and highlight previous system testing. Work with the marketing team to create a template for showcasing systems. Prepare a PowerPoint presentation emphasizing capabilities and past testing
EDUCATION REQUIREMENT:
Students pursuing a bachelor's degree in Engineering, or a related field at an accredited college or university. Must be a rising sophomore, junior, or senior in good academic standing.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT:
No prior experience is necessary, requires a propensity for learning, openness to training, and a continuous improvement mindset.
OTHER SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Demonstrated proficiency in utilizing Microsoft Office tools including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, etc. CAD experience is preferred. Adept at conducting comprehensive research and analysis, with the capacity to explore extensive topics and distill substantial data into concise and pertinent summaries. Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written, to effectively convey ideas, analysis, and guidance to diverse areas within the business.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The incumbent must be able to stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach, climb, balance, kneel, talk, hear, taste, smell, and lift up to 10 lbs.

The hourly rate for applicants in this position generally ranges between $18.00 and $21.50, depending upon the academic year and prior experience/internships with the company (i.e. returning interns). The role
As a facilities Supervisor we are looking for someone to coordinate the management of the Aberdeen facilities. Ensuring, building and facilities adhere to the required building regulations and local authority requirements. You will be working on several complex projects, from inception through to handover. So, what would your day to day look like?
- Develop and implement the detailed installation project plan for standard projects and aid with more complex projects and/or key accounts.
- Assist with the installation delivery for standard EV, ANPR and digital payment solutions, including coordinating all internal and external parties to ensure project is installed safely, on budget and on schedule.
- Monitor the performance, health and safety and quality of the selected contractors and report to project management team as required.

- Manage and monitor all operational risks at site level escalating where necessary.

To succeed youll need a track record of delivering Electrical Installation Projects and a proven record of managing teams well.
- You will have several years Project Management experience in a similar role and the ability to multi-task and deliver/control multiple projects in tandem.
- Specific EV Charging knowledge is essential with a passion for Electric Vehicles and associated Infrastructure projects.
- Degree or equivalent qualified in Electrical Engineering or technical discipline would be advantageous with strong Microsoft IT skills or Qualified to NVQ/C&G level 3 in electrical installation or equivalent.

Job Description
We are currently recruiting for a motivated and enthusiastic Social Work Assistant to work in statutory area fieldwork and children with disability teams. The successful candidate will work alongside Social Workers to provide advice and practical support to children and young people who are deemed “in need” under the Children Act 1989 or identified as in need of support.
The Social Work Assistant will facilitate support groups, be part of the duty rota, and will be involved in assessing and working directly with families needing support, offering parenting advice and guidance, and signposting families to other services where appropriate. They will promote the educational, training, employment opportunities, and social skills of young people and enable them to build these skills.
The ideal candidate will have experience of working in a social care setting or similar environment with vulnerable children and families and will have experience of completing chronologies, life story books, and contact plans. They will have experience of establishing links within local communities to ensure that effective responses to children and young people’s needs are maximised.
The Social Work Assistant will have experience of working with children, young people, and families at times of change in their lives and responding appropriately, so they will need a high level of communication skills both verbally and written, as well as an ability to identify risks. They will be skilled at resolving conflicts that can occur in multi-agency working and have experience of seeking the best outcomes for children and young people and their families.
Requirements
GCSE Maths and English Grade A-C or equivalent qualifications
A good working knowledge of relevant legislation
The use of a car would be preferable but not essential as the work can be throughout the country, and the post-holder will need to offer support to families when they are often under a considerable amount of stress.

The successful candidate will work in partnership with families and other organisations to deliver a high-quality service aimed at ensuring best outcomes for care leavers. The Personal Advisor will regularly prepare, update, review, and implement pathway plans in conjunction with the supervising manager, and ensure parallel planning where applicable. They will also undertake human rights assessments and ensure that the rights of the care leavers are observed.
Main Responsibilities
Deliver a high-quality service to care leavers aimed at ensuring best outcomes and enabling them to succeed as they make their transition to adulthood.

Abilities/Experiences
Minimum of 2 years working with young people in a supportive role in a voluntary or statutory setting.
Ability to empower and support a person-centred approach in the development, planning, reviewing of support plans.
Ability to initiate, write and produce effective reports to an excellent standard.
Demonstrate good written and verbal skills in a variety of settings, including colleagues, young people, professionals, and external agencies.
Ability to respond to complaints in a polite and timely manner in accordance with policy.
Experience of dealing with distressed and complex young people in a professional manner.
Experience of resettlement support and the issues of resettling young people.
Ability to work as part of a team.
Understand the importance of delivering a front line duty service for children and young people.
Effective time management and demonstration of a planned approach.
Qualifications
A professional qualification is not required, but it is expected that professional development will be undertaken in the role.
NVQ 3 Health & Social Care or other relevant qualification is desirable.
