As a Trainee Deputy Manager, the apprentice will play a key role in supporting the leadership and day‑to‑day running of the nursery while completing a Level 5 Early Years Lead Apprenticeship.
The apprentice will:
Support the Deputy Manager and Manager in the day‑to‑day operation of the setting
Lead rooms or practice areas to ensure high‑quality teaching, learning, and care
Support and mentor staff, apprentices, and students
Ensure safeguarding, health and safety, and welfare requirements are met at all times
Help plan, implement, and review the early years curriculum in line with the EYFS
Build strong relationships with parents, carers, and external professionals
Contribute to staff supervision, team meetings, and continuous improvement
Support with compliance, inspections, and quality assurance processes
Complete all apprenticeship training, assessments, and coursework alongside their role
Training:Early Years Lead Practitioner Level 5.Training Outcome:
On successful completion of the Level 5 Early Years Lead Practitioner Apprenticeship, the apprentice will be well‑prepared to progress into a Deputy Manager role, with clear progression opportunities to Nursery Manager
