This is a key role for the business delivering the transport operation plan for the site, whilst developing a high performing team of Drivers. As a key name on the depot O License, you will manage the safety of the operation, people, the legal & regulatory compliance of the transport operation with policy and process excellence for all vehicles relating to the Depot. Transport Manager Essential Skills & Experience Required:

Essential Transport Manager CPC National Certificate
IOSH Qualified
Knowledge & Experience:
Minimum experience of 2-3 years working in a Transport Management position and excellent knowledge of legal compliance, drivers’ hours and WTD's.Systems knowledge & experience of working with transport management systems and tachograph analysis.Experience of Drug and Alcohol testing Experience in a busy 24/7 operation with a large team of diverse colleagues.
Transport Manager Duties:
Maintaining budgeted costs and planning the fleet to the forecasted volumes. Control driver costs and sustain above target levels of service and quality by ensuring all vehicles and equipment are maintained to a high standard through consistent audits and compliance checks.Ensuring robust and efficient BAU and peak transport planning processes are prepared accounting for contingencies and challenges ensuring the operation runs smoothly. Managing all transport costs, resources, maintenance repairs and CPU with support from the DGM. Leading quality accident investigations professionally and with urgency when necessary. Ensuring the Depot is always legally compliant in all relevant documentation and systems, this will include servicing & maintenance of vehicles, regulatory requirements, driver's hours, tacho downloads both driver and vehicle unit along with all training - drivers CPC, MHE and manual handling.

Position Summary:
This position is responsible for supporting the sales team with entering in and tracking orders, working with customers on ordering, and assisting the sales team with various administrative tasks.
Essential Functions:
Answer a high volume of phone calls, including will-call customers. Input orders with the correct price, discounts, commission splits, rate special requirements, products, point of manufacture, sales division, project, market, routing, and freight terms. Use selling skills to upgrade orders, substitute products, turn inquiries into orders and introduce new products. Maintain existing customer base through proper servicing and complaint-handling skills. Work with the customer service manager to initiate expediting and improved schedule dates. Coordinate the manufacturing point, scheduling, shipment, and delivery of the product. May help prioritize and negotiate product availability, partial shipments, or splitting shipments. Understand and follow policy guidelines relative to stock orders, no-charge orders, special charges, quality compliance, credit, freight recovery, commission levels, and commission splits. Have knowledge of product use, units of measure, package codes, manufacturing processes, computer reports, Carbolink, and LN programs. Follow up daily on order status and notify customers, sales reps, or CSR's of any changes. Work with production management and expediting to meet customer requirements. Work closely with Regional Managers on pertinent regional service and support issues, account development, sales training, inventory availability, etc. Recommend and communicate stock levels/changes due to the direction of the sales team to the Supply Chain Manager. Provide backup for the whole Customer Service Department. Contacts freight lines to arrange order pickups Provide customer service assistance to all Customer Service Representatives to assist them in obtaining the necessary information they need to get their shipments out. Run various reports as requested Operates the LN computer system for sales and replenishment order shipments Review orders for Special requirements of customers and ensure that the information is conveyed to the appropriate warehousemen. Works with the Corporate Transportation department to make cost-efficient shipments Work alongside Inventory Planning to support SI&OP initiatives Participate in corporate and regional cost-reduction initiatives Manage Regional consignment inventories Assist sales reps to help to manage Marine Dry Dock Projects Work within various customer portals to ensure orders are entered according to portal requirements work with Deals and Distributors to support order entry and sales support Participate in Inventory Reduction Cost Avoidance Initiatives Work to ensure a successful succession candidate program within the service department Handle special assignments as needed. Requirements:
High School Degree or equivalent, 2-year Business degree, or minimum 1 year of Customer Service or Sales Support experience.
Physical Requirements:
This position requires minimal physical activity but does require computer usage for an extended period of time - up to 8 hours a day. No unusual environmental, lifting, or exertion requirements are associated with this position. Must be able to pass a color blindness and math test.
