Coach Core’s vision is to drive social mobility through apprenticeships and sport, so that every young person can reach their true potential and inspire those around them. Since our launch in 2012, we have worked with over 150 of the biggest sports providers, youth clubs and charities in the country, supporting over 500 young people.
The Community Sport and Health Officer role is the perfect opportunity to understand the role of sport and physical activity in the community, and as a coach with Live! You will be helping to run fully accessible and inclusive learning, personnel development and social activities for children, young people and adults with disabilities.
You will be leading sports, fitness, health and wellbeing activities across all groups and clubs, including; ‘Active Live!’ commissioned Adult day service, ‘All Stars’ after school and holiday clubs for young people and supporting ‘Our Best Chance’ Cancer awareness & prevention programme and Live! Inclusive adapted cycle project ‘Give it a Spin’ with support and guidance from the project managers in each area and disability support workers who will enable the members to fully engage.
Making the best use of the municipal park in which we are based, you will have access to a cycle path, skate park, football pitches, MUGA outside and an activity hall / dance studio, training room with interactive SMARTBoard and sensory room / quiet space for delivery. The average day runs between 9.30am and 3.30pm on the Day Service and 3.30pm and 5.30pm for the afterschool club.

A mixture of face-to-face and online catch-ups every 4 - 6 weeks to discuss feedback and progress
A mixture of on and off-the-job training, including workshops and webinars
Reviews every 12 weeks with your Line Manager and apprenticeship Trainer

Working towards a level 3 Community Sport and Health Officer apprenticeship over the course of 12-18 months

The Community Activator Coach role is the perfect opportunity to understand the role of sport and physical activity in the Community, and with LCCC you will be a full, active, and supportive member of the Cricket Participation team that will deliver the cricket participation elements of the L&RCF’s strategy.
The role will include:
Deliver coaching experiences that drive growth in accessibility and participation in disability cricket opportunities across the county.
Deliver programmes and competitions to grow opportunities for adults and juniors to play disability cricket
Identify facilities access and areas of demand to grow opportunities for adults and juniors to play disability cricket
Help to deliver disability cricket volunteer workforce development within recreational clubs and hubs across the county
Deliver coaching sessions in schools and SEND settings
Develop school-to-club / hub partnerships that connect participants to their optimal next cricket experience
Work closely with Lord's Taverners and England & Wales Cricket Board (ECB) to further develop disability cricket in the County
Support the delivery of safeguarding and compliance for cricket in the county
Prioritise inclusivity across responsibilities and feedback talent identification into the County Club’s performance pathway
Track performance against the strategy goals and KPIs. Provide regular reports and updates on progress
To undertake any reasonable tasks at the request of the Managing Director or your line manager
Support LCCC team members with activity delivery on matchdays.
Previous experience of working in a sports development environment would be advantageous, but not essential

At LS-10 you will work towards your L2 Community Activator Coach Apprenticeship qualification over the course of 12-18 Months.
Day to Day Responsibilities:
Deliver coaching sessions that are participant-centred, structured, progressive, fun and of a high quality.
Undertake the necessary planning for each activity session to ensure the programme demonstrates progression throughout, linked to the principles of
long-term athlete development (LTAD).
Continually monitor and evaluate all sessions, activities and programmes.
Adapt approach in sessions to cater for different ranges of ability and development age.
Undertake administrative tasks associated with the post under line management instruction, including planning sessions, taking registers, consent forms and contacting schools.
Be a positive role model and ambassador for related extreme sports and the organisation at all times.
Ensure all equipment associated with the coaching programme is correctly set up, maintained, stored and returned on completion of the coaching programme.
