As a degree apprentice working within Maritime Services, you will provide technology enabled solutions to internal and/or external customers, in a range of areas including data and business analytics, software engineering, network infrastructure and cyber security. The Instrumentation Calibration Services (ICS) department has the responsibility of calibration, maintenance, managed collection, storage and delivery of test & measurement and equipment to support the Barrow site & external commercial customers. Equipment maintained and calibrated includes Electrical, Mechanical, Dimensional & Optical, Temperature, Gas, Fixed Plant and Ionizing Radiation test and measurement equipment.
The core duties include but are not limited to:
Calibration, maintenance and repair of test and measurement equipment, in line with programme and commercial requirements

The Digital Technology Solutions Degree Apprentice is a 4-year scheme within BAE Systems Shared Services, Enterprise IT team.
A Digital Technology and Solutions Professional Degree apprenticeship involves working and learning alongside experienced practitioners. Years 1 and 2:
During your first year you will spend time at college completing a Level 2 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering, the foundation qualification of your apprenticeship.
Upon completion, you will return to Leonardo to start your rotational placements within some of the following departments:
Electronics Engineering, Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Operations and other engineering support functions.
During your second year you will attend college on a day release basis to complete a Level 3 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering, the knowledge qualification of your apprenticeship and continue with your rotational placements.
Years 3 and 4:
In your 3rd year you will continue to rotate around different departments, gaining further knowledge of the company and developing your engineering skills.
