GPW Recruitment are actively recruiting an experienced Contracts Manager on behalf of one of the UK’s leading telecommunication contractors.
Reporting to the Managing Director, this role is responsible for managing the effective and efficient delivery of a number of contracts in Cumbria.
General Duties:
Taking responsibility for the entire contract, personnel working on that contract and the delivery of the services provided.
Ensuring that the health, safety, and wellbeing of all personnel is kept as the top priority and that all jobs are completed in line with H&S requirements.
Planning work and organising labour in line with service requirements and to ensure that all work is being complete on time and within budget.
Identifying ways to increase efficiency and improve productivity within onsite teams.
Conduct and attend client meetings and interviews and operational plans.
Ensure that client updates and communication are timely and accurate, and that accounting is transparent throughout the contract.
Review facility management staff qualifications and competencies to ensure capable service delivery; interview candidates, advocate career development and apprentice programs, whilst supporting succession planning on promoting strong and diverse FM teams.
Conduct and attend client meetings and interviews and operational plans.
Create and review FM best practices; contribute to team efforts to continuously improve processes, standards, and technology.
Establish strong networks both internal and external.
Ensure that the activities and contractors on site are monitored and that all jobs are completed safely in a timely efficient manner.
Act as a first point of contact in the event of an emergency to ensure safely of staff and/or mitigate potential damage to premises.
Always promote a positive and professional image of the department, by adhering to company policies, procedures, and standards.
Work safely and responsibly within MJ Quinn’s values and operational policies, procedures, and accepted behaviours to avoid harm to yourself, those around you and our neighbours and communities.
Raising and following up non-conformance reports, to ensure that any actions identified, pursued, and resolved.
Work as part of a larger team to develop working practices and procedures.
Candidate Criteria:
10+ years’ experience within a related FM and cyclical works management environment, managing a range of stakeholders, and delivering quality services.
Experience of works management and CAFM systems.
A methodical and rigorous approach to achieving tasks and objectives.
Entrepreneurial and pro-active – strong drive and keen business mind.
Excellent communication, contract management, negotiation, and people management skills.
The ability to prioritise work, work well under pressure, meet deadlines, and manage business expectations.
Be adaptable and flexible in your approach to work.
IT Literate and competent in MS applications, i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.
NEBOSH General Certificate is desirable.
IWFM/IOSH Membership essential.
HND or foundation degree in construction, facilities management, business studies or management would be advantageous.
A legal right to work in the UK.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
To progress your caseload in a manner to ensure that clients receive appropriate, professional, timely and pertinent legal advice, with regular contact, whilst managing their expectations
To be able to assess quantum to include reviewing medical reports, researching, and obtaining relevant case law, drafting schedules of special damages, and assessing suitable awards for compensation
Take a practical but commercial approach to settlements and advising clients as to litigation/cost risks
To achieve and exceed various targets set in relation to, for example, profit costs and issuing, without compromising the firms integrity
To liaise appropriately and timely with sources, medical agencies, experts, third party insurers and other relevant parties to ensure that cases are pro-actively progressed
To attend, where appropriate, court hearings to make representations in respect of the claim before the judiciary. Where necessary, and in accordance with the firms internal policies and procedures, to instruct.
Barristers to represent clients at hearings and obtain formal Advice over issues of quantum.
Perform to a high level in a target orientated environment
To provide supervisory support and guidance on technical issues involving quantum and litigation to other team members
To support the Team Manger in effective people management and to drive the right behaviours
To ensure that the team are achieving the right outcome for clients and optimising each clients claim
Monitor workloads and allocate work as necessary
Experience & Knowledge
Significant previous experience of managing your own caseload of Fast Track RTA litigated claims
A solid working knowledge of the CPR, legislation, and relevant case law
Excellent litigator with strong drafting skills and the ability to negotiate appropriate settlements at the optimum time
Competent working with a case management system and good knowledge of MS Office
Ability to provide clear direction and take accountability for the teams performance.

GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
WTI Foreman is responsible for the oversite and performance of safety, efficiency, and quality of the WTI field service business. Safety is our number one priority and will be embedded into every discussion, meeting, and project. As the clear and established leader of the WTI crew, the WTI Foreman is focused on safety, crew management, and efficient execution of all WTI Projects assigned within their respective region. It is the responsibility of the WTI Foreman Technician to deliver timely service to all our WTI customers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Conduct the daily onsite safety brief prior to the start of the WTI project with the Sales Rep, customer, and the WTI Crew. Inspect and ensure all surroundings, equipment, and tools and identify and discuss any safety concerns. Complete the Daily Hazard Analysis form and submit it to the Supervisors as applicable Ensure all project communication is completed before the start of any WTI project. This includes but is not limited to communication with: Sales Rep on weekly/daily schedule WTI crew members to discuss the scope of work and daily tasks The customer pre-arrives, upon arrival, and after the day's work WTI Supervisor on schedule changes, project and crew updates, etc Efficient project management will include managing team start and end times and production rates and ensuring tools and materials are available to safely and efficiently complete the assigned project. Complete the project per the scope of work or specification. The WTI Foreman will complete an end-of-day and/or end-of-project walk-through to ensure quality repairs and address any items prior to leaving the job site. Before and after pictures will be sent to the Sales Rep, and information will be sent daily on the project status. These items will include detailed work performed updates, materials consumed, and supplies purchases are all recorded daily. Ensure that all WTI Field Reps will have a professional appearance and customer interaction while completing services for a customer. The Field Resource Foreman is responsible for ordering, tracking, and monitoring inventory and ensuring Quarterly cycle counts are completed and submitted timely. Per pricing procedures, review each field service project over $5,000 for pricing accuracy. Submit all projects over $20,000 to the WTI Supervisor prior to submitting to the Sales Rep or customer. Able to work using own initiative as well as being a team player and supporting team goals.
Experience of providing quality customer service, able to manage customer expectations.
