The Role
We are looking for a skilled MET Technician to join our team. This hands-on role involves dismantling, repairing, and rebuilding vehicles to the highest standard, while supporting a smooth and efficient workflow across the bodyshop.
Key Responsibilities:
- Remove and refit parts to ensure body repairs meet a high-quality standard
- Dismantle and rebuild vehicles as instructed
- Identify and report unseen damage absent from the original estimate
- Carry out 4-wheel alignment, suspension work, GEO diagnostics, and other mechanical tasks
Requirements:
- Previous experience as an MET Technician / Strip Fitter
- ATA/NVQ qualifications advantageous but not essential

As an apprentice, you will learn how to service, maintain, and repair Heavy Goods Vehicles (HGVs) to industry standards, working alongside experienced technicians and receiving full training throughout your apprenticeship in partnership with Remit Training.
TYPICAL DAY:
Assist in carrying out routine servicing and maintenance on a wide range of light vehicles
Learn to diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and electronic faults using specialist tools and equipment
Support senior technicians in inspecting vehicles to ensure they meet road safety and environmental requirements
Develop knowledge of vehicle systems, including engines, transmissions, suspension, brakes, and steering
Maintain accurate records of work completed in line with workplace procedures

Keep the workshop clean, organised, and safe
Training is not all hands on; we believe that learning to use a computer and understanding the theory behind the role is as important as using a spanner.Training:Training is delivered in the workplace and on block release to Remit’s Automotive Academy in Derby. There is a total of 16 x 1-week blocks over the 32-month programme. The costs of hotel accommodation, food and travel are met by the employer and there will be no cost to you.

The Role of CAD Technician
The CAD Technician will play a key role in delivering accurate and buildable models for structural and secondary steelwork projects across a range of sectors. They will ensure that drawings and models meet client specifications, industry standards, and internal quality expectations.
Responsibilities:
Create and develop accurate Tekla Structures models for fabricated steel and secondary steelwork
Produce fabrication, erection, and general arrangement drawings in line with project requirements
Generate material take-offs, CAM data, and CNC export files where required

Ensure all models and deliverables meet client specifications and quality standards

Support the design team on more complex modelling tasks
