Position Summary:
You will be responsible for the overall management of the assigned Service Center location including: inventory, warehousing, customer relations, and sales. You will lead a team of 4 or more employees.
Essential Functions:
Communicate with local sales force assigned to the Service Center regarding inventory, color, and service needs. Manage daily/ weekly cycle counting on physical inventories. Manage inventory reorder points (ROPs) and reorder quantities (ROQs) levels to yield established on time in full (OTIF) and inventory goals. Manage receipt of inbound and shipment of outbound goods. Assure on Time in Full delivery to customer's request. Perform Root Cause Analysis on OTIF misses. Approval and processing of returned goods and replenishment of orders in a timely manner. Prepare Bills of Lading per Department of Transportation (DOT) certification and guidelines. Assure compliance with all regulatory, safety procedures, housekeeping expectations as defined by management. Assist in daily warehousing duties as needed. Supervise, monitor and maintain training schedules for all personnel including: safety, DOT, forklift, IATA. Actively communicate with management to keep them advised on all pertinent matters. Preform additional duties as assigned. Commit to the Company's safety and quality programs.
Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent, Minimum of Associates Degree in a Business-related discipline or minimum 7 years practical experience, 2+ years Supervisor or Management experience Forklift certification or have ability to pass forklift certification test.
Desired Qualification:
1+ year sales or retail experience preferred.
Physical Requirements:
The employee must regularly lift and/or move objects over 50 pounds. Collaborate closely with the Designers, Merchandiser and Product Manager to provide exceptional design work.
Stay current with emerging fashion trends as well as general trends relating to fabrics, colours, and shapes.
Plan and develop ranges by costing products, researching the market, negotiating prices, analysing product and delivery costs and briefing designers on the requirements of the business.
Track and analyse SKU adoption through all levels of the product lifecycle seasonally by brand.
Coordinator for end-to-end product development.
Create and maintain seasonal line plans for each brand alongside design manager and design team.
Research and develop ranges for Beechfield including identifying key shapes for the season, colour, fabric and building a range which offers choice for our European customer base.
Adhere to the critical path to achieve deadlines, ensuring product is developed for the relevant and optimum selling period.
Produce presentation materials that communicate the concepts and inspirations behind our products.
Travel seasonally within the UK, Europe and East Asia (around 1 trip per year)
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure product quality and efficiency.
Skills & Experience
Strong attention to detail, highly organised, self-sufficient and able to meet tight deadlines.
Experience in building inspiration/concept presentations and mood boards for seasonal concepts and direction.
An active and proficient participant in the creative process and cross-functional communication with all levels of the organisation.
Experience of working and communicating directly with overseas manufacturing partners to ensure the accuracy of sampling and materials executions.
Commercial awareness gained through competitive shop visits and research of available data, for example via trade press.
Ability to create and edit files using CAD/Adobe programs including Illustrator, and Photoshop.
Excellent negotiation skills and possess the ability to liaise with suppliers to achieve desired target margin.
Graduate degree in fashion, merchandising, textiles or related field or equivalent combination of education and/or experience required.
Essential criteria
A minimum of 5 years experience in product lifecycle management
Understands and is proficient in the product development process
Demonstrated experience leading a group of people, project or process
Proficiency in PLM software and tools
Excellent communication and leadership skills

The role
The Weather Forecasting department within the Monitoring and Forecasting Service Line is responsible for providing reliable weather forecast services to our clients to enable efficient planning and informed decision making across multiple industry sectors including renewables, media, construction and oil and gas.
The department is now seeking an Assistant Weather Forecaster to be based in our Wallingford, Oxfordshire office to report to the Departmental Operations Manager. You will work as part of the team responsible for providing reliable weather forecast services to our clients to enable efficient planning and informed decision making across multiple industry sectors including renewables, media, construction and oil and gas. The assistant forecasters work under the day-to-day supervision of the lead/Marine forecaster on shift. They will also work with other departments in Metocean on larger projects or developments.
This is an exciting opportunity as you will not only get to work in a client facing role where you are the first point of contact for our clients, but you will also be actively encouraged to take part in innovation, offering you significant influence over research and development activities. The department operates a 24/7 service, so this role will require you to work shift patterns across both day and night shifts. The role is based in Wallingford, but you will be providing forecasts for multiple regions across the globe. There may be the opportunity to work offshore, subject to additional training, should you like to.
Who we’re looking for:
Essential:
A science-based degree in Meteorology/Climatology or Oceanography alternatively a MSc in Meteorology or suitable post graduate training, dependent upon the first degree subject.
Ability to work to schedules with demonstrable experience forecasting a variety of weather situations and clients around the world.
Good problem-solving abilities and making sound decisions under time pressure.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
Excellent communication skills - written and verbal.
Self-motivated.

Basic scripting skills (e.g., Python).
