The Test Engineer will join a Systems Engineering team critical in space thruster engine development. You will work on a complex, multifaceted rocket engine system comprised of numerous newly developed and integrated components. This role has wide ranging technical input including structural, thermal, rocket propulsion, space electronics, software, testing and systems analysis.
In essence as a Senior Systems Engineer, you will coordinate and bring together the diverse sub components and sub assembles into a complete working space engine design.
My client supplies chemical propulsion rocket engines and thrusters serve to key spacecraft manufacturers for commercial, defence and scientific applications.
Requirements
Space systems experience ideally of large European space projects, system primes or ESA.
Technical leadership of large, multidisciplinary Electrical Harnessing Design, routing and schematic Mechanical and fluidic system Engineering projects.
System Analysis knowledge to apply to, fluidic systems, surge pressure and pressure drop. Performance, Structural, Thermal, Reliability, Radiation Assessment, Hazard or Safety Analysis.
Complex product development experience of thermal design and equipment selection using Failure Modes Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMECA).
Intelligent, logical approach to problem solving.
Degree, Masters or higher qualification in Engineering, Aerospace, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
You will own the overall engine system architecture, analysis and documentation including FMECAs, radiation, reliability, mechanical, thermal, fluidic, electromagnetic, Design, Development and Verification Plan, Design Justification Document, Software Requirements Specification, Engine Test Plan etc. Working closely with the Project Manager to help plan and organise resources.
Responsibilities
Support propulsion engine build, assembly and test development including route card build sequences and system assembly, integration, Manufacturing and Inspection Flow Charts.
Review, interpret, manage and own the spacecraft requirements then disseminate down to relevant engine subsystem or component teams.
Coordinate of top level Design, Verification and Compliance Matrix.
Internally digest key subsystem and component review documentation ensuring work is completed to required standards and all aspects of the engine system are correctly aligned.

The Role of the Design Engineer
As the Design Engineer you will be producing Temporary Works designs and drawings on a day-to-day basis
Produce one-off project work as directed by the Engineering Manager, Chief Engineer or Senior Engineers
Provide technical support to the sales team / customer (project related / non-project related)
Self-management of allocated workload to meet customer / business demand
Based in the company’s North West Office
The Ideal Person for the Design Engineer
Minimum 2:1 in Civil Engineering (BEng, BSc)
Ideally a graduate member of ICE or IStructE, but this is not essential.
Understanding/interest of temporary works, structural or geotechnical design
Technically competent and confident communicator
Organised, self-motivated, and a keen learner
Will be confident using AutoCAD.
Experience with Revit would be beneficial. Training will be provided.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced design environment

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Engineer to join a live construction project in London.
This is a key site-based role, responsible for leading all on-site engineering activities, managing setting-out engineers and subcontractors, and taking ownership of Temporary Works coordination, technical compliance, and quality assurance across the project.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage all setting-out activities across RC frame, groundworks and structural works
Oversee and verify engineering surveys including drainage, slab levels, lift shafts, stairwells and as-built records
Coordinate and review construction drawings, resolving dimensional clashes and technical discrepancies
Take responsibility for Temporary Works coordination, ensuring implementation aligns with approved designs and safety procedures
Carry out QA inspections including rebar checks, cube testing and post-pour slab edge level surveys
Order and coordinate materials for RC frame, drainage and waterproofing packages
Use Fieldview for inspections, QA documentation, snagging and issue tracking
Manage drawings and technical documentation using 4Projects or similar systems

Proficient in Fieldview for QA reporting and site inspections

We are now looking to recruit an Inspection Coordinator to work offshore as part of the Marine Asset Integrity Reporting Team. Responsible for offshore and ROC project preparation activities on IRM business line projects. Primary responsibility is for the management of offshore and ROC inspection operations and reporting offshore and on-shore (when required). The Inspection Coordinator may be required to assist in the contract tendering and negotiation phase and be expected to provide project specific procedures and schedules. The Marine Asset Integrity team encompasses individuals working both in office based and offshore roles as well as within our new state of the art Remote Operations Centre facility.
The Inspection Coordinator will report to the Inspection Manager onshore and will be responsible for ensuring regular communication with the client throughout the duration of the offshore phase of a project and will ensure that any changes to work scope are agreed and documented. Furthermore, you will be responsible for continually seeking to improve project performance thus assisting in maintaining a competitive edge for further development. This may include identification of new methods and technology and cost reductions. Roles and Responsibilities
The duties and responsibilities associated with this position include but are not limited to:
Ensure safe, efficient and profitable execution of ROV pipeline and structural inspection projects;
Ensure awareness, understanding and control of all inspection data acquisition hardware and software. Including but not limited to COABIS and NEXUS.
Ensure inspection equipment calibration procedures are followed or undertaken by 3rd parties;
Ensure fieldwork is efficiently planned; liaise with offshore Superintendent and clients to ensure all parties are fully informed of planned inspection activities including alternative contingency operations as required
Liaise with Superintendent (vessel ops) and create ROV dive plans for distribution to all pertinent personnel;
Ensure project reporting is properly managed, and delivered, in accordance with Company / Client specification, and document control parameters.
