A Structural steel specialist is currently looking for a permanent Quality Assurance Manager to oversee quality assurance across structural steel, architectural metalwork, and feature stair projects — from fabrication through to final installation — in Greater London. Workshop based in Wickford , Essex and site are based in central London
Start Date: Immediate Salary: £60,000 – £75,000 per annum Contract: Permanent
Duties:
Implement and maintain QA procedures within the fabrication facility, inspecting structural steel and metalwork at key stages including cutting, welding, assembly, and finishing
Manage the sample production and approval process, coordinating with clients, designers, and internal teams for sign-off
Attend site at key installation stages to inspect structural steel, architectural metalwork, feature stairs, finishes, and interfaces with other trades
Guide the snagging process from identification through to close-out, producing structured snag lists and coordinating with site and factory teams to resolve defects
Carry out final inspections prior to handover, driving snag-free project completion
Requirements:
Strong experience in structural steel and/or architectural metalwork
Knowledge of fabrication processes, welding, and installation methods
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
Understanding of tolerances, QA procedures, and inspection processes

The current registered manager will continue to work with this organisation alongside you but in a different capacity.
About you
The successful candidate will have significant experience of working in a Fostering service within a management capacity (with a management qualification ideally) preferably with an Independent Fostering Agency or Charity. You will need to be prepared to be prepared to come into the office occasionally in Leeds. You will need to keen to help grow and develop this organisation in what is an exciting opportunity.
