Key Responsibilities:
Business Administration & Operations
Handle incoming calls for OFI, routing queries accurately
Monitor the OFI email inbox and respond to routine enquiries using agreed guidance, templates and escalation procedures
Maintain organised digital records and handle all information carefully and confidentially
As confidence and competence develop, act as the day-to-day point of contact for routine trainer and client coordination, with complex or sensitive matters referred to the Operations Manager
Track actions, deadlines and outstanding information, following up appropriately and escalating delays or risks promptly
Refer non-standard pricing, complaints, contractual questions, technical queries and sensitive client matters to the Operations Manager or appropriate colleague
Follow OFI and wider company procedures relating to data protection, confidentiality, equality, health and safety, complaints and responsible use of business systems
Assist with the organisation and delivery of wider Thrive4Life events
Provide input and support for Thrive4Life & OFI Social Media content creation
Business Knowledge & Development:
Through the apprenticeship and day-to-day role, you will develop practical experience in:
Professional telephone, email and client communication
Organising work, managing priorities and meeting service deadlines
Business systems, CRM records and responsible information handling
Training course coordination, trainer liaison and delegate administration
Quotation, booking, certificate and sales administration
working independently on routine responsibilities while using appropriate judgement and escalation

All apprentices must:
Be working in a job role that provides opportunities to apply and develop the knowledge, skills and behaviours from the programme, outlined in the Level 6 Data Scientist Degree Apprenticeship Standard.
spend at least 50% of their working hours in England over the duration of the apprenticeship. This also applies to remote and hybrid workers.
Have access to the off-the-job training detailed in their individual learning plan.
Must have a valid and eligible residency status and the right to work in England.English and maths eligibility requirement
English and maths eligibility requirement is assessed based on the apprentice's age at the start of their apprenticeship. Please note that English and maths eligibility requirements do not supersede programme entry requirements.
Aged 16-18: Apprentices who do not hold a level 2 qualification in English and Maths must study towards and achieve this during their apprenticeship. Funding is available.
Aged 19+: There is no mandatory requirement to complete Level 2 English and maths. However, apprentices or employers may opt-in for the apprentice to study towards an English and maths qualification if they don't already have an equivalent qualification, with funding available if they choose to do so.
Apprentices who do not provide a suitable Level 2 English certificate, and do not hold an appropriate English language equivalent qualification from this list, will also need to provide an International English Language Testing System (IELTS) result that is dated within the last two years. The minimum requirement for this programme is an overall score of 6.0, with no less than a 5.5 in each of the individual elements. The university’s policy around this can be found here.

The Apprentice Laboratory Technician will work with the operations team to test, collate, interpret, and report quality lab results in a timely manner, and to a high standard and in a safe way. You will develop the technical knowledge of scientific methods and techniques to accurately conduct and document laboratory tests and tasks.

Apply scientific techniques for data presentation, e.g., statistics
Recognise problems and apply appropriate scientific methods to identify causes and achieve solutions
Participate in continuous business performance improvement
Successful achievement of the end-point assessment will lead to final certification of the apprenticeship
