You’ll learn both on the job and during intensive residential training weeks at college. All accommodation, travel and subsistence is paid for during the block weeks and you’ll start off with three weeks in college, returning home each weekend. This will prepare you to fully contribute as soon as you get on site.
You will then return to college approximately every 20 weeks, for a two-week block of intensive training – where you’ll be earning all the time. At the end of your Intermediate Apprenticeship, you’ll have more experience and valuable job skills, plus a nationally recognised apprenticeship qualification - but that’s just the beginning!

Health and safety to include Control of Substances Hazardous to Health, Manual Handling and Working at Height Regulations, use of PPE etc.
Understand the principles of high quality customer service and communication to enable you to gain and keep a valued reputation in industry with clients, colleagues and industry representatives such as suppliers and manufacturers
Understand the different types of construction methods, insulation considerations, sustainability, fire, moisture and air protection, damp proof courses and the use of brick ties
Set out and build brick and block work, including cavity walling with returns and openings to required specifications and tolerances
Construct a brick wall with a raking cut
Select appropriate tools, equipment and materials (e.g. trowel, levels, brick ties, DPC, insulation, mixers, lintels etc.) for use when setting out and erecting masonry walling. Maintain a clean working environment
Work in a team to achieve personal and team goals including considering the wider build team
You will also produce a portfolio of evidence demonstrating examples of your work throughout the apprenticeship
Attendance at SMB Stephenson College on a block release basis

On completion of this apprenticeship, the apprentice will have satisfied the requirements to obtain a Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) Card at the appropriate level
Apprentices will progress to a wide range of employment opportunities in the workplace

Working within the estimating team under the support and supervision of a dedicated mentor you will learn the tasks involved within the estimating process. This will include- measuring and doing take offs to producing quotations for external customers.
WHAT YOU WILL DO IN THE SHORT TERM
Initially you will spend time learning about the products and services we offer
When you are confident with the products we offer, you will be shown how to review drawings provided by customers. We will teach you how to read architects plans, engineer’s foundations and levels drawings, steel work details and other relevant technical drawings. You will also be shown how to identify relevant sections of building specifications
Once confident with reviewing drawings, you’ll be shown how to collate quotations, using our bespoke computer software, from here you will start to complete your own take offs under the guidance of a mentor
You will also attend college on day release to broaden your knowledge and skillset
WHAT YOU WILL DO IN THE LONGER TERM
As you become more experienced in the role, you will be responsible for producing and managing multiple estimates and take offs whilst also learning how to convert an enquiry to an order. This will involve customer liaison along with sales and negotiation. Whilst still supported you will have less reliance on your mentor
You will also be introduced to other areas of the department with involvement in design, planning and production to broaden your overall knowledge

Job Description: Data Analyst Apprenticeship
This apprenticeship offers a unique opportunity to kickstart your career in the Automotive and Leasing industry. Role Overview:
Specifically, the Asset Risk team looks at the residual value of vehicles at the end of their lease and estimates the costs of servicing and maintaining them, including tyre replacement. These elements are vital for calculating our lease costs. Additionally, the team manages the discounts provided by car and van manufacturers, which will be a core part of your role. The team also handles lease modifications requested by clients, such as extending the duration or adjusting mileage.
Your role will be to learn, support, and develop your skills within a key function of our business. You will experience:
Working within the Asset Risk team.

Assisting with the maintenance of vehicle data.
Generating reports.

Warehouse Stock Auditor - Daventry - £22,405
The position
This is a full time permanent position based at our customers distribution centre in Daventry
Rate of pay: £22,405
Weekly hours: 37.5 hours per week plus daily 30-min unpaid break
Shift Patterns: 5 days out of 7 Shifts between: 06:00-14:00, 14:00-22:00 & 22;00-06:00 +0.50p per hour night bonus

A day in the life of a Warehouse Stock Operative
As a Warehouse Stock Operative, you will work as part of a dynamic and supportive team in what can be described as a fast-paced and target driven environment to ensure the stock entering or leaving the depot is accurate.
Our activities vary, so often, you may be required to work across multiple different workstreams such as Goods Inbound checks, Picker Accuracy audits and Load Adherence checks most of which require periods of manual handling.
Job activities
Audit the Inbound accuracy of supplier deliveries on the GFR program.
Audit Picker accuracy of stock destined for stores and fully investigate all errors found.
Adhere to agreed audit and error verification procedures at all times.
Maintain integrity at all times.
Ensure the expected productivity levels are achieved, in line with customer expectations.
Review daily targets in line with customer expectations.
