As a Trainee Asbestos Analyst, you'll receive comprehensive on-the-job training and guidance from our experienced analysts, and members of the team. Your journey begins with shadowing lead professionals and progresses through a structured training program.
Whilst learning from experts, and using the company vehicle to travel across the UK, you will:
Complete Leak testing of enclosures
Take bulk samples
Complete investigation of leak test failures
Undertake personal monitoring of asbestos removal operatives to provide data for exposure assessments and planning any future works if required
Undertake monitoring in enclosures
Perform visual inspections of cleanliness of equipment leaving site
Handle Client/Contractor liaison including with the LARC (licensed asbestos removal contractor) and any other key stakeholders
Perform ongoing development of air testing strategies and interpretation of results as required
Maintain a diary of work to provide written log of all activities undertaken on site
Complete auditing of the works and site
Complete background air monitoring prior to the start of asbestos works
Undertake reassurance air monitoring following the completion of asbestos works
Training:Over 21 months, you’ll devote a minimum of 6 hours of your working week on ‘off the job’ training. This can include theory training (for example, virtual lessons & online learning), alongside practical training (for example shadowing, mentoring, & time spent writing assignments.
