Our client is the major Health facility on the beautiful Island of Guernsey, in the Channel Islands. We are seeking a committed and experienced Band 7 Clinical Lead Nurse to join their small, but vital 3-cot Neonatal Unit. The Unit manages infants from 32/40 and stablises and transfers smaller infants off-island if required. Reporting to the Head of Midwifery and Paediatrics you will:- take charge of the unit and have 24 hour responsibility, acting as a leader, advisor and role model- ensuring appropriate standards of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of programmes of care are delivered to patients within the Neonatal Unit- implementing and monitoring quality assurance initiatives including development of action plans and measuring outcomes. Please note; Guernsey has adopted the AfC banding system, but have applied their own salary scale, as above. The current Guernsey Band 7 salary is up to £58,081 plus an annual bonus of £1,350 and higher unsocial hours enhancements; 36% evening/Saturday and 72% Sunday/BH.Annual leave starts at 36 days up to 42 days with full credit for NHS service for annual leave and sick leave.The island of Guernsey is in the Channel Islands and has a population of 65,000.
