This person will assist the Research and Development laboratory group in developing, modifying and evaluating corrosion resistant protective coatings, linings, fireproofing, etc. The ideal candidate will be able to perform routine lab projects, do quality control testing, grade test panels, perform paint calculations and maintain lab book notes under the guidance of a supervisor.
Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent, 1-year college Chemistry or 1-3 years Lab experience.
Physical Requirements:
Lifting up to 50 pounds; exposure to chemicals including but not limited to: Amines, Polyamides, Isocyanates, Epoxies, Alkyds, Acrylics, and certain inorganic compounds. Personal protective equipment would be utilized. Must pass annual respirator medical evaluation and pulmonary function test as required by OSHA.

Grade test panels according to established procedures. Gather information or data in reference to trouble reports.
