About the Role
We are currently recruiting for a Quality Technician to join a manufacturing business based in Gloucester. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in quality control, quality assurance or quality engineering to play a key role in maintaining product quality, improving manufacturing processes and ensuring compliance with quality standards.
Working closely with Production, Engineering, Purchasing, Stores, Projects and other departments, you will be responsible for investigating quality issues, managing non-conformances and ensuring corrective actions are implemented effectively.
The successful candidate will have a proactive, methodical approach to problem-solving, excellent attention to detail and the ability to work collaboratively across a busy manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Raise, manage and close Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), ensuring accurate documentation and timely resolution.
Investigate product and process non-conformances, working with relevant departments to identify root causes.
Monitor corrective and preventative actions, ensuring agreed actions are completed effectively and on time.
Manage internal departmental complaints, coordinating investigations and supporting resolution.
Carry out internal quality audits against company procedures and quality management requirements.
Document audit findings, track corrective actions and follow up to ensure compliance.
Conduct inspections and quality checks to support manufacturing operations and product conformity.
Identify recurring quality issues, escalating significant concerns to the Quality Manager.
Support root cause analysis, problem-solving and continuous improvement initiatives.
Maintain accurate quality records, reports and documentation.
Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to resolve quality-related issues and improve processes.
Support day-to-day quality assurance and quality control activities across the manufacturing site.
Promote a consistent, proactive approach to quality throughout the business.
Skills and Experience Required
To be successful in this Quality Technician role, you will ideally have:
Previous experience in a quality-focused role within a manufacturing, engineering or production environment.
A good understanding of quality control (QC) and quality assurance (QA) processes.
Experience managing non-conformance reports (NCRs) and corrective actions.
Experience conducting internal quality audits.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate issues and identify root causes.
Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to work.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across multiple departments.
The ability to manage competing priorities and work independently.
Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and experience using ERP systems.
Desirable Skills
The following would be advantageous but are not essential:
Knowledge of ISO 9001 quality management systems.
An Internal Auditor qualification or practical internal auditing experience.
Experience with root cause analysis methodologies and corrective and preventative action (CAPA) processes.
Experience supporting continuous improvement initiatives within a manufacturing or engineering environment.

As a Quality Inspector, you will be responsible for material inspection, dimensional measurement, and quality assurance activities across manufactured and procured components. You will also provide metrology support to the inspection team and contribute to containment, non-conformance, and continuous improvement activities.
Key Responsibilities for the quality inspector job based in Bournemouth
Inspect components against engineering drawings, specifications, and defined quality standards.

What We’re Looking for for the quality inspector job based in Bournemouth
Experience as a Quality Inspector, Quality Technician, or similar role within manufacturing or engineering.
Strong metrology knowledge and hands-on inspection experience.
Experience operating and ideally programming CMM equipment, with knowledge of PC-DMIS and/or CAMIO.
Ability to use manual inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and indicators.
Confident reading and interpreting technical engineering drawings and measurement plans.
Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and documentation standards.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Ability to work to deadlines in a busy production environment.
Technical or engineering qualification, or a recognised apprenticeship, would be advantageous.
Fluent written and spoken English.

JOB DESCRIPTION
GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
The Construction Management Associate is responsible for assisting the Construction Manager in all aspects associated with a construction-related project. This will include but is not limited to, General Contracting projects, larger-scale Contracting Patch and Repair Projects, TremCares, etc. This will involve working with the Construction Manager, Project Superintendent, or WTI Technician assigned to the project to ensure the project is effectively executed anc completed safely, and all contractual obligations are adhered to. Additional duties will include participating in onsite meetings, scope of work development, proposal review, specification review, completion of project schedules, assembling project submittals, obtaining building permits, project closeout documents, and other duties as directed by the Construction Manager.

Pre-Proposal Stage:
Conducts Pre-Proposal Meeting and distributes completed Pre-Proposal Meeting documentation to all applicable parties.
Assist the Construction Manager in reviewing proposals.
Prepare Proposal Documents as directed by the Construction Manager.
Pre-Construction Stage:
Publish the Project Schedule.
Assists Construction Manager in planning and coordinating the Pre-Construction Meeting.
Engages with the Project Superintendent to provide necessary project information.
Conducts Pre-Construction Meetings and distributes completed Pre-Construction Meeting documentation to all applicable parties.
Obtain Building Permit when required.
Construction Stage:
Review Daily Inspection Forms and ensure they are distributed to all applicable parties and uploaded into project files.
Visits job site as necessary or directed by the Construction Manager.
Conduct weekly Progress Meetings, virtual or onsite, and distribute meeting minutes to all applicable parties.
Maintain Project Schedule and update on a weekly basis.
Perform site audits as appropriate.
Review subcontractor payment requests with the Construction Manager.
Assemble AIA billing applications for the Construction Manager's review and approval.
Assist the Construction Manager, Project Superintendent, Subcontractor, Owner, or Sales Representative as needed.
Close Out Stage:
Assist the Construction Manager in coordinating the final inspection.
Ensure all required documents are uploaded into the project files.
Other Requirements:
Ability to travel out of town may include overnight travel
Must have transportation and a valid driver's license
Ability to work weekends and/or holidays if needed
