Organise and manage recruitment campaigns for all marker positions
Assist with internal teams and stakeholders on recruitment needs, providing advice and building effective relationships
Advise potential applicants on marker roles and ensure knowledge of Gateway to support them and set up new roles
Work with the Recruitment and Contracting Team to anticipate demand and monitor applications for priority subjects
Contribute to the Marker recruitment and retention strategy
Ensure consistent customer service, resolving escalations and complaints in line with SLAs
Review regular and ad hoc management information (MI)
Support contracting, deployment, and allocation of markers within deadlines and forecast requirements
Issue and track contracts to ensure full coverage, following up on non-replies and withdrawals
Build collaborative relationships with stakeholders (e.g., STA) and maintain accurate data across systems, including Gateway
Handle routine application enquiries and liaise with internal customers regarding markers
Support the end-to-end recruitment process, including applicant support and reference checks
Assist with ad hoc contracting or deployment support during peak periods or absences
Collaborate with other business areas to achieve overall objectives
Training:To meet the requirements of the Level 3 Business Administration apprenticeship programme, you will need to spend 6 hours a week of your time undertaking off-the-job learning, which will include:
Formal training, including online learning and internal learning events
1-2-1s with your coach and line manager
Observing and shadowing colleagues
Writing up learning reflections for your portfolio

Tasks will be varied but will broadly include those to assist in the smooth-running of the editorial department, including:
Preparing and administering the sending/signing of non-royalty bearing contracts for book and digital products (contributor etc)
Commissioning peer reviews (proposals, manuscripts, articles) and soliciting pre-publication endorsements for projects as requested by their manager; ensuring these are delivered in a timely way; recording the progress of all projects under review/out for endorsement; ensuring payment as necessary
Taking responsibility for monthly pub procedure
Arranging ordering of copies of published books
Maintaining physical and electronic book files and records
Supporting editorial staff in managing data on internal databases (Biblio and BCM)
Responding promptly and appropriately to external and internal inquiries
Checking and, if necessary, clearing copyright permissions under guidance from the manager
Carrying out research into new projects on request of managerSending emails/letters of acknowledgement and rejection

Setting up new titles on Biblio (our bibliographic database), and ensuring that any changes to projects are updated promptly and in line with key dates

Key duties will include:
Provide a full range of administrative services, primarily for the Administration Team.
Provide reprographics support as required to include; photocopying, stapling, binding, laminating and finishing of Academy resource materials.
Screening and dealing with telephone calls and enquiries.
Typing/word processing of materials to include; letters to pupils/parents, filing, typing minutes, collating/preparing resources, In-touch communications.
Administration of orders and purchases, ensuring all appropriate paperwork is completed in accordance with Academy procedures and chasing delivery as required.
Meeting and greeting visitors, arranging refreshments as required
Assist with preparing documents using Powerpoint, Excel, Work, and Publisher as directed.
Produce standardised school letters or communications as directed, such as student award certificates, event postcards.
Provide first-line cover for administration colleagues as required, to help ensure continuity of the Academy’s support services, including the exams and data team and the first aid room when required (First Aid Training will be given as part of the role).
Reception/Student Reception:
Receive and greet, in a positive manner, all visitors entering the Academy.
Be a point of information for staff, pupils, parents and other visitors to the Academy.
Be a point of contact for any emergency regarding staff, pupils and premises.
Receive all incoming telephone calls promptly and ensure the necessary messages are relayed to staff and pupils.
Administer the meeting room booking system.
The ideal candidate will have excellent written and verbal communication skills and be computer literate. You must have a basic understanding of Microsoft Excel and Word, be able to follow customer briefs and instructions, be able to work to deadlines, strong attention to detail and be able to work well under pressure and as part of a small, hands-on team. Previous customer service experience will be an advantage.
