The Roofing Operator can work in our Felt Department or in our Roofing Department at our Cleveland, Ohio Plant. Duties and Responsibilities

The group produces Ductile iron, SG iron, Austempered ductile iron (ADI), SiMo and Ni-resist castings up to 45kg in weight. Our four Disamatic moulding machines and three horizontal green sand moulding machines provide a foundry capacity of 70,000 tonnes per annum.

GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
Starting in the Felt Department or Roofing Department of the East 80th Cleveland Manufacturing Plant, the Operator will start up, troubleshoot, and operate manufacturing and production equipment safely and routinely, while achieving or exceeding standard levels of production, according to specifications. This position can turn into a regular, full-time, union position if the employee completes the probationary period. During the probationary period, this position will work on the 1st Shift. If the employee successfully completes the probationary period and becomes a regular employee, the position will most likely change to 2nd or 3rd shift, depending on the Plant's needs.
3-SHIFT FACILITY:
1st Shift: 6 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
2nd Shift: 2 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. (Shift Differential of $0.75)
3rd Shift: 10 p.m. to 6:30 a.m. (Shift Differential of $1.00)
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performs work safely, according to safety rules and guidelines, and follows Tremco's Escalation Policy for any safety or quality concerns.
Communicates with Team Lead and/or Supervisor during shift changes and throughout shift.
Understands and operates the HMI at the various stations along the line to keep the line operating safely and efficiently.
Monitors weight, speed, and other metrics along the line.
Operates forklift to move raw materials, load carrier, and move finished product.
Makes raw material batches in the appropriate mixer(s), according to specifications.
Performs quality control tests on the batches, per established guidelines.
Ensures proper labels are being used on the taping machine.
Fills appropriate-sized pails, drums, or totes, labels filled items, and places pails/drums on pallet.
Performs daily housekeeping/cleaning of immediate area and other surrounding areas and departments, as needed.
Performs other duties, as assigned.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
No prior education or experience required.
Previous manufacturing, warehouse, or similar industry experience preferred.
OTHER SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Basic knowledge of mathematics-i.e., addition, subtraction, fractions, etc.
Ability to read, write, and comprehend simple instructions.
Forklift Certificate and operations experience preferred.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Incumbent must be able to stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach, climb, balance, kneel, talk, hear, and lift up to 50 lbs.

The Production Supervisor assists the Director of Operations and the Manager of Manufacturing in the day-to-day operations of the Manufacturing Department. They provide leadership and direction to direct labor employees, including "Hand's-On" support when required. The Supervisor has a strong commitment to product quality and the safety of all employees and ensures that crews operate following all EHS policies.
This is a 2nd Shift position: Monday-Friday 2pm-10:30pm.
Essential Functions
Enforces safety regulations and policies, investigates all incidents, and champions Safety 1st engagement. Actively participates in Safety Committees and Safety Training.
Maintains facilities in a neat, clean, and orderly manner, ensuring Daily Housekeeping Checklists are completed and verified every shift, identifies and corrects issues immediately.
Maintains uniform and consistent expectations in accordance with all manufacturing and company standards and policies. Ensures time and attendance of employees is accurate and employees are held accountable to the attendance policy. Approve timecards daily.
Ensures Standard Operating Procedures and Work Instructions are followed and updated as necessary. Ensures all workers complete the required paperwork, expectations are communicated, and deviations to standards are analyzed and reported with corrective actions set to improve performance.
Updates Daily Management Boards, communicating plant performance to employees and key departments. Utilizes resources in the most efficient manner, planning daily work assigned based on priorities. Escalate issues/concerns needing support.
Develops, trains, educates, and coaches employees. Creates, updates, and maintains new-hire on-boarding. Completes 30, 60, 90 reviews for all new hires, as well as 6 months and annual review with all employees. Ensures all employees are current on RPM and Stonhard training, and documents employee training records.
Participates and has an active role in Continuous Improvement Initiatives, such as an understanding of OEE and how to drive improvements to increase efficiencies.
Minimum Requirements
HS diploma required.
3-5 years' direct experience in a chemical manufacturing environment. Batch processing experience preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office; particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
Previous experience with ERP systems; preferably BAAN LN.
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to work with mathematical concepts and apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and to solve practical problems.
Preferred Requirements
BS Degree in a Technical field. Experience will be considered in lieu of degree.
Physical Requirements
While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear.
