This position would suit someone who enjoys working in a hands-on environment and is looking to develop their technical skills. Ideally, you will be motivated to learn and grow in a trainee role and will be receptive to on-the-job training.
Roles and Responsibilities of the Trainee Production Operative
- Handling raw products
- Mixing large quantities of materials
- Filling machines with accurate measures of materials
- Setting and monitoring machines
- Ensuring materials are handled with care
- General warehouse/production duties where required
- Adhering to H&S regulations
Candidate Profile
- A strong work ethic and a ‘can do’ attitude
- The desire to work in a practical and ‘hands-on’ environment
- Good accuracy and an eye for detail
- This role is physically demanding, therefore you will need to be physically fit and able to partake in lifting heavy material (circa 25kg)
- Ability to work as part of a team or independently as required
- Educated to GCSE level with good numeracy skills

Required Experience:
BS in Mechanical Engineering or Chemical Engineering preferred. Industrial and Electrical Engineers with hands-on mechanical & chemical experience will also be considered. 5+ years of engineering job experience. The role
As a Production Engineer You will be part of the Falmouth Hub production team, based in Cornwall, at our world leading workshop. Ability to coordinate with the work of others and solve problems in a team environment. Active participation in our Continuous Improvement Process. Ability to lift 75 pounds. GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB: The Machine Operator starts, troubleshoots, and operates manufacturing equipment safely. There are three Machine Operator levels (I, II, & III). Clean and maintain assigned area to ensure proper functionality. Report and assist with resolving safety, quality, and mechanical issues. Participate in the continuous improvement process. If appropriate, set up and operate various off-line and secondary equipment.
EDUCATION: No formal education requirement.
EXPERIENCE: No experience necessary.
OTHER SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Ability to function effectively in a team setting. Ability to multi-task while maintaining attention to detail. Demonstrates reliability, flexibility, and dependability.
