The Opportunity
A rare opportunity has arisen to work closely with the Product Development lead on a new propositioning working in partnership with an independent Mortgage Broker. This role will play a crucial role in shaping and optimising a new distribution channel. This is a 6-month contract position with the potential for an extension beyond this point. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the distribution framework for the partnership ensuring the long term business growth through solid proposition development coupled with regulatory compliance and great customer experience
Key Accountabilities
- Develop the Distribution Business Model for the new partnership ensuring aligned strategic goals will be reached.
- Design mortgage distribution strategies in compliance with relevant regulations.
- Provide oversight and specification of training, accreditation, and qualification maintenance programs tailored to the mortgage channel.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements such as RG146, RG271 (complaints), LICOP, and considerations for disadvantaged and vulnerable customers, underwriting, and product standards.
- Develop comprehensive reporting mechanisms (e.g., commission, portfolio) to monitor performance and inform strategic decision-making.
To be successful in this role, you will have:

Coordinate and direct maintenance projects, making detailed plans to accomplish goals and direct the integration and implementation of technical activities. Plan and direct the installation, testing, operation, maintenance, and repair of facilities and equipment. Manage the Preventative/Predictive Maintenance Program to ensure it reduces downtime and improves overall reliability of production and production supporting machinery. Develop KPI's to track Maintenance performance. Support capital project requirements for review and submission to management including costs, schedule, and procedures. Direct, review, and approve product design and changes consistent with Management of Change (MOC) procedures. Perform administrative functions such as reviewing and writing reports, approving expenditures and making decisions about the purchase of materials or services. Investigate equipment failures and difficulties to diagnose faulty operation and work with the maintenance crew to implement the needed preventative measures. Recommend design modifications to eliminate machine or system malfunctions. Demonstrate a commitment to diversity in hiring and promotion decisions. Effectively and efficiently onboard new employees. Conduct annual performance evaluations and provide ongoing performance feedback, maintaining clear and timely documentation. Coach and manage employees using CS&W philosophy and tools to ensure talent is developed and retained. EDUCATION:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) Various trade certifications i.e. electrical, pipefitter, etc. preferred. EXPERIENCE: Four to seven years related experience and/or training A minimum of 5 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment. Familiarity with plant safety practices, chemical processes, equipment maintenance, statistical applications, and equipment operations are also required. Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical equipment repairs. PLC experience is a plus.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Indicate if required or preferred. Knowledge of the practical application of sound engineering and chemical plant practices. Education and/or Experience Bachelor's degree (B. GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB: The Bilingual Technical Trainer will develop and deliver high-quality, inclusive education to meet the needs of our diverse customer base in accordance with our overall learning goals. Additionally, the Bilingual Technical Trainer will act as the main point of contact for any senior-level training center operational issues.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop and execute a strategic plan to meet or exceed the organization's product learning objectives. Build training initiatives and opportunities that improve the customer's learning experience and positively impact revenue and sales growth. Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and develop new training opportunities and enhance existing programs. Create, conduct, and deliver technical training programs and workshops in English and Spanish. Develop and produces bilingual resources and course materials including but not limited to outlines, texts, handouts, assessments, lesson plans, learning aids, etc. Design hands-on application exercises to demonstrate knowledge of product installation, maintenance, compliance, problem-solving, etc. Collaborate with instructors, subject matter experts, and educational institutions to provide specialized training or enhance curriculum. Collect feedback on sessions, evaluate program effectiveness, monitor performance results, and make improvements as necessary. Address issues or complaints from customers or staff in a timely manner, providing bilingual support when needed. Promote the training center to attract new customers and partnerships, using bilingual capabilities to reach a wider audience. Assist in the preparation of business plans that support the operation of the center and budgetary guidelines. Assist in the hiring, training and evaluating of staff to ensure outstanding value added support and service to our customers. Provide support for the day-to-day operational activities of the training center, acting as the onsite decision-maker for expense approvals, logistics questions, facility concerns, or escalated issues that may include but not be limited to staffing, facilities, scheduling, vendor/supplier coordination, etc. Performs other related duties as assigned.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENT:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Education, Spanish, Engineering or a related field.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT:
Proven experience as a Technical Trainer in the construction or related field. Minimum of 4 years' experience in translating, implementing, and delivering adult learning content and programs in both English and Spanish
