Prime Objectives of the Post: Promoting and working within an Early Years setting, meeting the needs of the children, families and community in which it is based, in accordance with the policies, procedures and working practices of the Centre/School. Working as part of a team in assisting and consolidating the provision of a high-quality Early Years curriculum. We have a variety of students requiring support, with both physical and non-physical needs. Experience of having supported children and young people previously would be an advantage, but is not essential. Ideal candidates will have a basic understanding of how children and young people can learn and develop and will be able to work confidently with them and other adults in our Catholic college. Candidates must be able to use their own initiative and be able to communicate confidently and effectively with children, staff and parents. All candidates must have the ability to work within and apply all school policies, and it would be advantageous to have some knowledge of the SEN code of Practice.
