We are looking for an experienced and compassionate Clinical Lead Nurse to join our growing complex care division and oversee the clinical delivery for a complex care, supported living service, in Bedford.
About the Role
As the Clinical Lead Nurse, you will play a key role in ensuring that the care we provide meets the highest clinical and quality standards. You will oversee the complex care, supported living service, providing exceptional leadership to the care team, working closely with multidisciplinary teams (MDTs), care staff, and families to ensure our clients receive exceptional, person-centred care.
Key Responsibilities
Provide leadership to the service manager and care team.
Carry out care plan and risk assessment reviews.
Conduct medication and clinical audits to ensure compliance with company policies and best practices.
Provide clinical supervision, training, and competency assessments for care staff.
Support the delivery of safe, person-centred care for individuals with long-term and complex conditions.
Liaise with MDTs to ensure cohesive and effective clinical support.
Participate in audits, spot checks, and feedback sessions to drive continuous improvement.
Maintain your clinical skills and knowledge through ongoing professional development.
Build strong, supportive relationships with care teams, management, clients, families and professionals.
Oversee a team of 20 – 30 care workers, ensuring the highest standards of care delivery.
Undertake regular care shifts, to monitor and improve levels of care provision
Provide clinical escalation out of hours in conjunction with our wider Clinical Lead team.
Essential Requirements
Registered Nurse – Adult/LD with valid NMC registration
Experience in Complex Care and supporting individuals with a learning disability
Community experience
Strong Management Experience is a MUST and clinical oversight
A commitment to high standards of clinical practice and person-centred care

Learn to prepare individual treatment rooms for a wide range of dental procedures.
Develop and demonstrate competence in decontamination and sterilisation of medical and dental devices within clinical and non-clinical environments, ensuring appropriate records are completed.
Be responsible as part of the clinical team for the care of the patient from arrival to completion of treatment.
Other duties as necessary for the efficient operation of the practice (perhaps including the duties and tasks of receptionist as required).
Undergo training as may be required to develop skills and abilities.
Attend refresher and update training for medical emergencies and CPR.
Act in accordance with the practice rules and code of conduct.
Recording of treatment including charting form the dentist’s instructions and other associated clerical work.
Preparation of filling materials, impression materials, instruments and equipment.
Cleaning away used instruments and materials and keeping the surgery clean and tidy.
First aid treatments for collapse e.g. coronary attack, fainting, bleeding tooth socket, epilepsy etc.
Triage of patients attending for emergency treatment.
Providing patients with pre and post-operative instructions and information prior to safely discharging the patient following, for example, minor oral surgery, and ensuring the instructions are understood.
Care and minor maintenance of equipment such as high-speed drills.
Maintaining stock levels in surgery and checking expiry dates. Re-ordering stock when required.
Training:
Day release at Middlesbrough College.
On and off-the-job training.
You will achieve a Level 3 Dental Nurse qualification upon successful completion of the apprenticeship.
Training Outcome:
Depending on the circumstances of the business, upon completion of the apprenticeship programme there could be a potential position of employment available.

As a Deputy Ward Manager your key responsibilities include:
Committed to providing a safe and therapeutic environment for patients
Ensuring there is a high standard of care for patients in terms of their mental and physical health
Act as a role model and provide leadership to more junior staff
Work effectively as part of a Multi-Disciplinary Team
Committed to supervision, appraisal and Continuous Professional Development
Support with recruitment and retention
The following skills and experience would be preferred and beneficial for the role:
Excellent clinical knowledge based on evidence based practice
Experience of Care Plans, Risk Assessments and writing reports
Knowledge of Mental Health Act Legislation and statutory regulations
Experience of staffing, skill mix and leading shifts
Committed to supporting Junior Staff and Students
The successful Deputy Ward Manager will receive an excellent annual salary £43,014 - £46,314 per annum DOE. This exciting position is a permanent full time role working 37.5 hours a week. In return for your hard work and commitment you will receive the following generous benefits:
