An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Quality Engineer to join a well-established company providing digital solutions ensuring the safe, compliant transport of dangerous goods by sea.
As a Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring new software features are thoroughly tested and validated before release, contributing to release quality and process improvement.
This is a hybrid role working 1 day in office (35 hours a week) offering benefits and a salary range of £35,000 - £40,000 and benefits.
You will be responsible for:
* Executing structured manual testing of completed development work to confirm acceptance criteria.
* Identifying edge cases, workflow gaps, and usability issues, logging defects and collaborating with developers to resolve them.
* Producing clear release documentation and maintaining traceability between development tasks and release outputs.
* Exploring and implementing AI-assisted tools to improve test design and documentation workflows.

What we are looking for:
* Previously worked as a Quality Engineer, QA Engineer, Quality Assurance Engineer, Manual Tester, Software Tester, Software Test Engineer, Quality Control Engineer Software, Application Tester, Frontend Tester, System Tester, API Tester, QA Specialist, Quality Analyst, Software Quality Engineer or in a similar role.
* Proven experience in software testing within an Agile environment.
* Strong skills in manual front-end testing, regression testing, and validating new features.
* Experience collaborating with developers to refine requirements and acceptance criteria.
* Knowledge or willingness to use AI tools (like Claude, Copilot) to assist with test generation and documentation.
* Familiarity with API testing tools such as Postman or SOAPUI.

Job Description:
Core-Asset Consulting is working with our client, a lead fintech company, to recruit a Client Test Lead on a permanent basis. This is a remote position with access to office space in London and Edinburgh.
The Client Test Lead will oversee the full testing lifecycle across client implementations, including planning, execution and reporting of manual and automated testing activities. Working closely with internal delivery teams and external stakeholders, the role focuses on aligning testing with business requirements, supporting releases and maintaining robust QA standards throughout the development process.
Essential Skills/Experience:
Experience in manual and test automation, including cross-browser and device testing
Strong client-facing communication and stakeholder management skills
Experience with low code automation tools (e.g. Testim.io) and working knowledge of JavaScript & JSON
Experience using Postman, Jira and Confluence
Experience using browser DevTools
Good understanding of web/application architectures and Agile methodologies
Solid knowledge of the testing lifecycle and testing types
Core Responsibilities:
Lead end-to-end testing for client implementations
Develop test plans and detailed test cases aligned to business requirements
Contribute to sprint stories, acceptance criteria and test specifications
Execute manual functional and non-functional testing
Build and maintain low code/no code automated end-to-end tests
Liaise with client-facing test teams and internal delivery stakeholders
Analyse test results, manage defects and escalate issues where required
Produce client-facing test reports and support release documentation
Support release activities including smoke and regression testing
Participate in agile ceremonies and story estimation
