Level 2 Pharmacy Services Assistant Apprenticeship Standard
Apprentices without level 1 English and maths will need to achieve this level and take the test for level 2 English and maths prior to taking the end-point assessment
All the training is onsite, and you do not need to attend off-site college days to complete this apprenticeship
An e-learning portfolio plus onsite tutors will help you progress to a Level 2 Pharmacy Dispenser qualification, which is a requirement to work in any pharmacy in the UK

Career progression at the end of the apprenticeship can result in promotion within Citywide Health, or opportunities with local hospital or GP practices, or training to become a practising pharmacist

Assist in the dispensing of medication and prescription preparation (once trained)
Scanning, emailing, barcoding prescriptions
Provide excellent customer service over the phone to GP’s and clients
Order, receive, and store pharmaceutical stock accurately and efficiently
Process incoming prescriptions and order new prescriptions when required
Assemble blister packs under supervision
Label prescriptions in compliance with regulatory standards
Safely dispose of expired or unused medicines following proper procedures
Monitor and manage stock levels, replenishing supplies as needed
Clean and organise stock areas, ensuring a tidy and professional workspace

Pharmacy Stock Assistant
Salary: £13.73 inclusive of holiday pay (£12.25 per hour + £1.48 holiday pay)*

We are currently looking for a motivated, professional, and flexible individual able to work 5 days a week, Monday to Friday day shifts, within a small stock count team, counting our Pharmacy Clients.
In this role, you are required to accurately count stock for Retail & Asset Solutions in various high street Pharmacies, this role is extremely important to ensure pharmacies are fully stocked with the medication required for local Doctors and Hospitals. Please note all training is provided upon your first shift. Previous stock, audit or retail experience is advantageous but not essential.

Some sites are in warehouses or large retail premises where you may be required to access and work with ground and high level stock, therefore you will be bending and stretching to reach stock throughout your shift and at times may possibly be outdoors. This role will involve working unsociable hours, working early mornings or night shifts, this therefore means we are unable to hire anyone under the age of 18 years.
