What you’ll be doing:
Calculating benefits for members; i.e. leavers, retirements, transfers, deaths
Maintaining membership records on the administration system
Dealing with general and technical queries from members, the employer and the trustees by telephone, email and letter
Supporting in the processing of team workloads, through responding to enquiries, calculating and settling member benefit entitlements, creating and maintaining scheme records and liaising with third parties
Managing workloads to ensure that agreed service standards or targets are met, escalating any concerns
Answering inbound telephone and email enquiries, ensuring that appropriate verification checks are undertaken
Collating periodical client information/reports
Contributing to scheme event activities or projects
Developing technical competency by attending technical briefings, understanding benefits structures and using formal scheme documentation

Our client, a well-established company based on the outskirts of Tunbridge Wells, is looking to recruit an experienced Senior Bookkeeper & Property Administrator to support the financial management of several small businesses, residential properties and private household accounts.
This is a varied position offering the opportunity to take ownership of day-to-day bookkeeping while supporting the administration of a diverse property portfolio. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of the company's financial and administrative operations.
Key Duties:
- Maintaining accurate financial records across multiple limited companies, residential properties and household accounts using QuickBooks.
- Processing purchase invoices, supplier payments and bank reconciliations through online banking.
- Managing payroll for employees, including pensions, HMRC submissions, expenses, payslips and year-end documentation.
- Preparing VAT returns, financial reports, trial balances and supporting documentation for external accountants and auditors.

Main Duties:
Support advisers with actions arising from annual and biennial client reviews
Prepare and issue client correspondence and ongoing service documentation
Liaise with pension providers and investment companies to obtain information and process requests
Maintain accurate client records using the firm's CRM system
Monitor ongoing service workflows and ensure adviser actions are completed within agreed timescales
Assist with general client correspondence and provider communications
Support the administration team with day-to-day business administration tasks
Ensure all work is completed accurately and in line with FCA compliance procedures
Handle confidential client information in accordance with GDPR and company policies
Support advisers with cash flow analysis and technical planning work as your knowledge develops
Undertake any other duties consistent with the nature of the role
Training:As an apprentice, you will receive support through both on-the-job learning and formal training as part of your apprenticeship programme.
This will typically include:
Study towards a Level 3 Business Administrator Apprenticeship Standard
Ongoing one-to-one mentoring from experienced financial planners and administrators
Practical training in financial planning administration, pensions and investments
Experience using industry-leading financial planning systems and provider platforms
Development of technical knowledge, organisational skills and FCA compliance awareness
Opportunity to study towards professional qualifications with the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) as your knowledge and experience develop
