Your training and responsibilities as a Machining Apprentice, will include (but not be limited to) the following:
Set and operate manual horizontal borers, lathes, milling and drilling machines as required
Programme set and operate CNC horizontal borers, lathes and milling machines as required
Accurately follow job cards and update accordingly
Understand and read engineering drawings/symbols
Operate overhead crane as required (once trained)
Ensure correct marking up of component parts
Work to quality standards required for the components and to maintain the ISO 9001 accreditation
Cut materials from stock bar maintaining material identity at all times
Undertake final inspections of finished components
Maintaining a clean, organised and productive work area for colleagues and yourself
When trained, ensure job timings are met/exceeded
